User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Handy app but only as much as Apple 'notes' would be. The barcode scanner is a positive but unfortunately an app crash caused me to lose a lot of data I'd collected as a student. I didn't realise the app hadn't uploaded my data to my actual logbook when it seemed it had. Nowadays when I try to upload anything, it just bugs out. A shame because it could be so useful!
Very nice app. The only criticism is the format for entering the patients date of birth. This is the standard Apple roll-down bars. For older patients this can take a while to do. On the full website version there is an option for ‘age’ rather than DOB, and this would be a welcome addition to the App.
I have payed for my update subscription now twice with the app still showing that my subscription has expired and it’s not working. I have contacted via the developer email and still has not gotten a reply about my issue, I am not able to securely upload my cases using this great convenient app and it’s for a service I have paid for
This used to be a very good app but since iOS 6 came out it's been transformed into a non-functioning, dangerous & time wasting app. Without any warning, it no longer saves unit numbers. As a result I had lost a full month of operating. Not knowing there was a problem, I never kept any of the op sheets so had to spend a whole day trying to recapture the data. The developers say they've identified the problem, but this statement has been out for more than a month. Seeing you pay an annual subscription, and the fact it's been out of action for more than a month and a bit, I would like the developers to release a patch ASAP and a full years subscription for free (or payback a proportion of the annual fee). An app like this must be totally reliable all the time, not half the time - otherwise I'm better off with my printed op sheets.
As a final year trainee usually having to have a rush to get the logbook updated prior to the ARCP/RITA this is an amazing app! Update in theatre and the search function is what is missing on the website and makes it so much easier! I would echo the other comments about the people complaining about the price, these are the new style trainees who no doubt winge about not being trained whilst not actually putting the effort in themselves. Cheers mate awesome app and great effort!

Mobile eLogbook has an average rating of 2.6.
The latest version of Mobile eLogbook (3.1.0) was released on Nov 14, 2019.
You can download Mobile eLogbook here:.
Mobile eLogbook has been designed in co-operation with the elogbook.org FHI Pan-Surgical Electronic Logbook to facilitate completion of your logbook.
Once you have entered your elogbook.org login credentials, the app will synchronise with the individual account. All operation and hospital codes, your favourite procedures, consultants and hospitals will be retrieved for use with the app to record all the necessary information in a format that will be instantly recognisable from
the elogbook.org webpages.
* Offline data entry
You do not require a Wi-Fi or 3G connection to enter data in to the app. Ideal for environments with poor network signals. A Wi-Fi/3G connection is only required at the time of upload.
* Upload functionality
In order to upload operations to the elogbook system you will need to subscribe to the upload functionality. When you initially successfully validate your elogbook username and password you will receive a free 28 day trial subscription. Once this expires you will need to purchase a subscription to continue to upload - this can be performed simply within the app.
Once procedures have been successfully uploaded, they will be deleted from the app. No patient identifiable information will be retained on your device. We recommend uploading data immediately or as soon as a network 3G/Wi-Fi signal is available. If upload is interrupted due to signal loss for example, data not yet uploaded will be retained until a successful upload is achieved.
* Supported specialities
The following specialties are currently supported, including specialty specific fields, e.g. laparascopic, 30 day mortality, sub-division of roles within procedures etc
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery
* Operation and hospital codes
Upon first use, the app will automatically download all operation and hospital codes from the elogbook.org website. As the elogbook.org evolves, changes will be available automatically. Simply “Check for data updates” from within the app settings.
* Favourites and search
The app will automatically download your favourite operations, hospital and consultants. You can also search through the lists of operations, hospitals and consultants.
* Simplifying data recording
Favourites are available at the push of a button. Search facility allows rapid identification of a particular procedure. Alternatively users can navigate through the operations list, identical to the elogbook.org.
Duplicate fields when performing multiple procedures on the same patient by:
- “Add another procedure on the same patient” prompt. This option can be activated in the settings page
- Perform a “long press” on any patient record and follow the duplicate fields prompt
* Operation List
See all your entered operations ordered by date
Patient ID, operation date and procedure are shown for easy identification
* Security and encryption
Mobile eLogbook is protected by a PIN which is stored in the iPhone keychain
Patient data is secured using standard iOS file protection capabilities.
Data is uploaded to the elogbook.org servers over a secure HTTPS connection (the same encryption that is used when logging in to the elogbook.org website)
