Pia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychomotor Therapy and Physiotherapy.<br><br>Pia is passionate about the mind-body connection. In her private and professional life, Pia has experienced and studied the benefits and joys that result from a meditation practice focused on the development of heightened awareness of one's body. She regards mindfulness meditation, “as a powerful tool for creating physical and mental stability, and a daily life with more inner peace and increased energy.”<br><br>Jannik Holgersen<br>App producer and developer<br><br>Jannik has developed and produced several different apps including Sound of Bornholm and Sound of Mindfulness. Jannik has years of technical experience working in TV and entertainment.<br><br>Jannik’s interest in mindfulness meditation has expanded during recent years as all humans face increasing stress levels and demands on their time; at work and at home. “My approach to mindfulness goes back to 1999 when I began meditating. I learned that children are born mindful, but lose that ability to be aware and at peace over time. I love listening to these meditations. This is a great meditation app for everyone in the family to use individually and together to stop for a moment, focus on breathing, and calm the mind and body. The app contains a nice selection of eight guided meditations ranging from 4:35 to 16:30 minutes in length. All help to calm the mind and body. One helps to connect how you feel with what you are thinking about. Anchoring, finding you inner place, relaxation and calmness, and focusing on breath awareness are also included. Instructions are provided on how to use the app with children and how to help them process and reflect on what happened for them when they did each meditation. This app provides a great way to incorporate mindfulness into your life and your child’s life. The skills you will practice on this app will provide life-long benefit. The most benefit will be obtained by listening to each meditation repeatedly on a regular basis.
My 9 year old listens to the guided meditations every night at bedtime. They work like a charm to calm her down and help her fall asleep quickly!
The guided meditations have a nice voice and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.
