I was a member on and off (more on that off) for the past 3 years. I ended up meeting my now girlfriend on Match this past November. It’s her birthday this week and *prepare for cheesiness* I wanted to print off our first messages to each other for this little thing I’m putting together for her as a gift. Since you can’t access you can’t even read your old messages if you’re not a current member (which is odd) I emailed support and asked for either a screenshot, transcript, or a brief access window. After 3 emails back and forth, they said there was no way for them to do such a thing. C’mon, it’s know - technology. I then called today and the “customer service” rep was clueless and just kept repeating the same scripted response. I asked to speak with their supervisor and they flat out said no. I asked a few more times, more scripted responses, still no supervisor. I met my girlfriend on match so as a site, I can’t totally complain. But treating a former PAYING member of 3 years that way is unacceptable. I sound whiny right now and I’m really not that type of person. This just really got to me off the way they handled it after they were happy to take my money.

I downloaded the app and purchased a month subscription to Match last week. Within the few few days of having the account. I woke up one morning and my account was logged out on my app. So I tried to login and it said that my password was incorrect, I tried again and no luck. So I hit the reset password link and waited for the email that never came. I tried again later that day and the next day. No email. I submit a support ticket to customer service and give them my info. They email me back and say they cannot find my account. I send them screenshots of my charge through Apple, an email notification of a message in my account and all of the information they requested. And of course they say “Unfortunately, I'm having trouble tracking down your account based on the information I have.” So I send more information, I check spam folders, I jump through all the hoops they requested and I am concerned that someone hacked my account. Meanwhile it seems like they are not concerned at all about this issue and are unwilling to provide any explanation as to what methods they have tried to find my account or concern over a potential hacking. I requested them to refund my money since I literally only used the app for 3 days and they said I need to contact Apple. So I submitted a customer care request and I hope that Apple will refund my $45 charge for a service I never received. I would never recommend Match to anyone. Ever.

Been a member on and off for a few years. The app used to be great. It really was! But now they have switched it to where you can not delete emails and some other notifications you receive from the app. They just sit there piling up. Why on earth would your do that? Many of the emails/contacts you get are fake profiles (scammers) that are painfully/obviously fake and yet their staff don’t catch them when the profiles are approved. Once I identify a fake profile and notify them, they will discontinue their profile. However, the scammers emails sit in your email box and can not be deleted in the app even after they have been deemed to be a fake profile. They should be allowed to be deleted from the app. Take a look at the ratings you are now receiving Match. Things need to change. Also smoking choices need to be moved to one of the top things listed so you do not have to click on every single persons page to see if they are a smoker! 2.?? Average for an app with as many people as you serve? Not doing well for minimum $20-25 a month and sometime quite a bit more depending on the package you buy. Used to love you guys. Also. Most dating apps sites will allow some interaction with each other for non paying members who want to test out the app before buying. Match has the worst options for non paying members. You can hardly do or see anything anyone sends you. Hope things get better soon!

I decided to try match because I’ve tried several different free dating appa that have never worked so I thought maybe if I paid for this one this time it’ll be different. I decided to pay for the 1 month payment which was about $20 and as soon as I paid for it I regretted it cause it’s a very annoying app. As soon as you like someone it prompts you to send a very interest intrusive pre-automated message to them which is annoying. Whenever you have get in a chat with someone you literally get emailed whenever they send a message to you even if you have the chat open and are real time talking to them. I decided to wait out a month since I paid for it but nothing happened so I deleted the app a week before my month ended but now I received an email saying I paid for a whole other month?! They sneak the auto renewal payment into the terms of conditons so even tho I paid for a month it renews every month for the one month payment is more expensive than just got a valued bundle deal and theres no refund because thats their policy so now this crappy app just charged me for an extra month I won’t be using this app. So don’t try the app, its not worth it stick to free apps they’re all the same crap and won’t hit you with a renewal fee at the end of your already one time payment.

Match, you need an update badly. I'm not even getting daily matches anymore and that's kind of ok because what you send me is a list of guys so far outside my radius that I've got no one to seriously consider anyway. The same guys are getting recycled through my choices and many are also a lot older than my preferences list as well. We choose preferences for a reason. I used to get an email once a day with a list of matches. Since I rejoined a week ago I don't even get that. I can't fault you for guys who read and don't respond, except to suspect that your pool is filled with fake profiles or I'm being shown guys who don't have active accounts and can't reply anyway. It seems like most guys I find in "who's viewed" me are ones I've liked and/or sent messages too, so it seems like my profile is likely not being circulated... and that's probably because you want more of my money to "boost" my profile so that it's doing what I'm already paying you to do for me. I'm not unattractive and I have a good profile put together and I'm willing to bet that's true of most of us here leaving you poor reviews. It's not US, Match. It's YOU. Get it together and update your site. Including this app. Do what you say you're going to do. Oh and don't bot me with a canned reply. Just fix it.
