I persistently have issues getting into app. Sometimes I wait 5 minutes, sometimes I have to switch phone off and on. Not good enough when I pay £5 per month for the privilege. There appears to be no facility to store my own recipes which means that each time I cook them I have to enter each ingredient. Have a look at My Fitness Pal and see how they allow you to enter your own or download from internet. At present I track my carbs on there as this app is pretty poor from that point of view. Further update - been given contact point to address these issues
There is no effective way to get a print friendly recipie. It’s possible but only via a tortuous route. Although there is now a print button on some recipes, this is not ‘print friendly’ and wastes a lot of paper. I’ve raised this with the developers a couple of times, but it hasn’t been properly resolved yet. This is a very good program and I’d highly recommend it, but the app needs a bit of sorting out!
I’ve been using this for about a week and have concluded that it is a badly put together application. Effectively just a bunch of PDFs and videos with a very basic chat room type feature and some crude personalisation, goal setting and tracking. It has no search function, which is absurd in an app of this type. Buggy and often unresponsive. It’s a bit of a scandal they charge so much for it. Definitely not recommended unless provided free by your medical practitioner. There doesn’t seem to be any content or functionality of a type that you couldn’t get for free elsewhere.
The app is really quite complicated to use and makes trying to follow the programme difficult. I tried to cook a recipe off the app yesterday and every time my phone/iPad timed out and went to a black screen, when I opened my device back up it reset the app back to the home page and I had to find the recipe again to get it on screen, which is not always the easiest to find. An expensive programme and really not worth it at the moment!!
I have been using my Fitbit and fitness pal for a long time, but practice nurse suggested trying this diet. The app is appalling in this day and age! As previous comments you cannot access it when you want to , it’s so slow to respond. I have allergies and it does not contain foods I eat and no way of putting bespoke foods into it. Frustrating to say the least. The recipes I don’t find inspiring and I have found more useful ones on Pinterest. Please please get this app updated to work in this 21 st century.
