Store Performance Index shows overall performance of your app on app stores. It is based on combined ASO & reviews metrics.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
When I bought my BMW back in June 2017 from the dealership, I was offered to have the Kahu device added to my car. I’ve seen others pay $300 for it, but I paid $500 for it. Anyways, that’s not the point. In August 2019, my car got stolen FROM THE DEALERSHIP (which is an entire other story in itself to tell) and I was quickly able to find and recover my vehicle within about 45 minutes by using this app and help with local law enforcement. When I first purchased the car with this added Kahu device, I always thought to myself “Why the hell did I spend that extra money for this Kahu thing. I’ll probably never need it” but I am so glad I did. I get that it can be a little personally invasive, especially about where you are and how you’re driving. However, if anyone who has this device and should there car be stolen, you’ll definitely thank yourself in the long run. I sure did.
The application does not support multiple users to one account. Therefore if you share the application with other family members, your every trip, driving speed’s etc. are available to any family member to log in and interrogate. There is no master user ID that can govern who sees what in the application. You have no way of managing the data that’s captured on you, even though it is your data or data about you. Personally I do not like the fact that any member of my family can log into the account and track every movement every trip speeds being driven etc. yet if I do not share access with family members should the vehicle be stolen while in their possession they would not be able to use the services of the application and service without contacting me. In my view there should be a family member application all of you that the primary owner of the account can manage what information they are seeing. The device came in stalled on my new car by the dealership, and they were unwilling to uninstall the device before I purchased a vehicle. I have provided me with a three-year contract, after which I will not be renewing unless my privacy considerations are taken seriously.
Had it for 10 days and the trips and dashboard features have yet to work. Called support and was told they are working on fixing them. It records stops, but all stops, even traffic lights. Again support told me this is how it is supposed to work. They need to allow user to set stop time minimum or raise it. Also, stops are color coded, but they seem arbitrary. I guess if your car is stolen they could locate it, but my confidence is low. I guess they still have a year of my free trial to convince me that the service is actually worth paying for.
*******Buyer Beware******** Have your dealer remove this from you car or walk away. I have yet to understand how Apple calculates the ratings. Just scrolling through the last few months of ratings there is no way this app gets a 4.xx. The app is junk their product is junk and the Terms of Service are absolutely atrocious. Make sure you read them thoroughly. Basically you pay for the system and then Kahu has unlimited and unrestricted use of the data they collect. They can use it for whatever purpose they see fit. Selling your route and habits to advertisers or giving it back to the dealer. Pretty deplorable practice for something that we are having to pay for on our new cars. I have yet to find an insurance company in Georgia that offers a discount for having this invasive product on my vehicle. Most consider this devices a passive system and categorize it much as they do an alarm system. If my vehicle was stolen, with as flakey as the system is, we have a better chance at just stumbling onto where the thieves hid the vehicle than actually locating it with this trash device.
This product doesn’t work. I’ve have this product for 3 weeks and I am having issues with it already. I’ve called the 800 number and a fake person gave me her name as GURLY and then gave me a number and stated someone may or may not call you during or after business hours. I knew she was coo coo so I said you assure me right GURLY! Yes I do. Let me start holding my breath. —- but seriously your product dos t work as advertised so I will need a refund especially if you sale this product as the end all be all piece of junk it is. Find me an email me my money. The kahu doesn’t work and your company doesn’t work past 8pm must be nice to have bankers hours.
