See more dataLensTutorial is about learning to use photographic lenses the easy way. The app wraps all lens calculations into one package and allows you to quickly see them in action. Learning photography can be easy and we encourage you to use our app to facilitate this process. LensTutorial allows to simulate photographic lens usage and display effects of lens controls manipulation. The app combines both visual and interactive way of representing information with classic DOF calculator functionality. It allows to quickly estimate and visualize the following parameters on one screen: Angle of view Total depth of field Near range of depth Far range of depth 35-mm equivalent of focal length Subject magnification All modern cameras of various makers supported.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Use regular inertia dials for the interface. The simulated camera controls are difficult to read. Also no one thinks in decimal feet, change the calculation to show feet/inches. People will REALLY appreciate that.
Old app. Doesn't have GH-4 camera or 12-35 lens.
Great for the beginner or someone who just made the move to a DSLR or one of those great 4/3 jobbers.
Not sure why Fuji got omitte when there are so many small makers included, but as a dedicated Fuji owner, I'm surprised by the snub, and will be waving others away until it gets fixed
I really like this app. It has helped me visualize the Depth of Field I would get in certain situations with various lenses and simarily help judge the Field of View various lenses would offer at various distances. While the program does have some issues handling the simulation of extreme focal lengths and the longest distance settings, too, I find them to be minor stumbling points. In fact, I don't easily see a way around the obstacles presented in simulating extreme settings on small displays. I highly reccomend the app. Sincerely Richard in Michigan
