User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
The app itself is attractive and easy to use. I love the videos of each exercise, they help to guide me do what I need to. The sets themselves are fun and my trainer is awesome. The user interface is intuitive, easy to use. I'd like to suggest to the developers two proposals which would help round out the design. 1: for time/bases sets, you should build a timer right into the app (along with a 3 second prep countdown). I either have to twist my kneck to view my gyms clock or awkwardly set a timer in my phone. Having it built-in will help. 2: give a rough estimate for how the full workout will take. Just add up all the approximate times and tell me how much time to budget. It doesn't have to be exact; is the workout 20 minutes or 40? That will really help me budget my time. I'll admit to being a beginner. I did trainer-led workouts before but they've always been cookie cutter and got too hard too fast and you lose interest really quickly. I'm really liking this app and my coach. Let's go!
Honestly I was skeptical at first as to how personalized or even helpful this app would be. Well I am very pleasantly surprised to find it extremely personalized and helpful. My trainer Elise has really transformed the way I think about getting fit. I used to always look at what I didn’t do and now she’s helped me focus on what I have done and to make anything else a goal for the next day! This has been a total game changer for me! I also love that she keeps me accountable and on track with my workouts and diet! This is such an amazing tool and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs some help getting back on track like me or even just getting started for the first time! Get the app, you’ll be so glad you did!! You get a week free so what have you got to lose. I signed up to continue the program before my free week was even over!
This app is more than I expected from an exercise/personal training app. The app is easy to use, is ascetically pleasing, and my trainer is interested in helping me meet my fitness goals. The app is well laid out, the home screen is easy to navigate and has all the information I need for each day. Workouts, promises, steps, and a rolling workout schedule are located on the home page. The buttons give you quick access to other pages in the app. My favorite part is my personal trainer Ashley. She is interested in helping me meet my goals through personalized workout programs, communication on workout days, and inspirational messages. Ashley and I work together to make sure I’m getting the most from my workout each time. We have developed a fantastic partnership and that is what I needed to help reach my fitness goals.
I really wanted to like this app. Both the coach and the customer service reps were quick to respond and readily available for questions, and the convenience of coaching outside of a set schedule is great for those who work long hours and/or have varying schedules. Unfortunately, the app itself works poorly. For the majority of the month I paid for, I was unable to get the app to load. For the most part, I had to delete the app, reinstall, wait 2-7 minutes for it to load each time, and then have it crash and require reinstalling a day or 2 later. After this had been going on for a bit, the customer service rep stated that they would reimburse 2 weeks as a goodwill gesture; that was a few weeks ago, and has not gone through yet. I cannot speak much to the coaching aspect, aside from saying that the workouts seemed fairly generic and directed towards intro-level fitness enthusiasts rather than athletes. The coach was friendly and quick to respond to all questions.
I frequented the gym throughout college and into my early 20s but lost my motivation once life got in the way. I was looking for a way to motivate myself to get back into the gym to get “wedding fit” and came across Ladder. I was attracted to Ladder because it gave me the accountability and positivity of a personal trainer but at a fraction of the cost which is what I needed to get back on a normal schedule of working out. My assigned trainer and I connected right away and had an unevasive way of communication. Never too much where I got annoyed by the messages but just enough to make sure I was holding myself accountable. I learned a ton about my strength and agility through my trainer and enjoyed the process. I definitely wouldn’t have gotten to my target weight without it. Highly recommended.
