My New Years resolution was to bring in more Joy and Joymode has helped me achieve that in spades. We have hosted karaoke and outdoor movies, made homemade pasta and deep cleaned our home. Bingo, camping, and silent discos are all coming up. The deliveries are prompt (I love how much they communicate about drop offs and pick ups) and customer service has been a 5-star experience. I love this company so much I’ve told all my friends. Feels like I’m in on a best-kept secret. Keep up the good work Joymode! You make me crazy happy!!
The first time I used Joymode it was pretty seamless with my custom bundle for my party. It was after they picked up the rentals that I saw they charged me a $99 fee. I immediately messaged their customer service about it and they said it was a membership fee charge. Immediately asked for a refund and it came back through within a week. Come to find out though that if I ever wanted to use their rentals again I would have to pay the $99 membership fee and the cost cost of the rentals as well. Sorry, but I don’t think a simple rental of towels, cooler and umbrella should have to cost me over $140. I will not be using Joymode again & I’ve made it clear to my friends that this is how they run their business.
I’ve been a Joymode member for 2+ years, and I was once their biggest fan. Over the last year or so the company has been on a steady decline. Bundles got watered down, customer service became less helpful, prices got too high. (quick example, rented a sous-vide bundle for a dinner party, vacuum sealer didn’t work so I had to go and buy one as to not ruin the party. Customer service said sorry we can’t help, and gave me $15 to spend on extras for my next bundle....) This never would have happened in their early days. Was happy to pay a $30 monthly subscription for access to bundles but they’ve since added “premium bundles” (which are essentially the exact same as their early bundles) that I’m sure out price most of their members. So now on top of a $30 monthly fee yyou can pay up to $90 per bundle. Just no longer makes sense financially for most people. Plus, they don’t get new bundles nearly often enough so you’re always renting the same stuff. Hope they figure out a more viable way to make money soon, they’ve really taken the “Joy” out of Joymode.
I scheduled, picked up at the warehouse and rescheduled a drop off for Big Monster blocks for children, my child loved to play w the blocks (made tunnels and more) and I enjoyed too. This is a great app, everything is always in sync w the site (desktop and mobile experience). It’s fun to use, easy to understand and great+responsive+fast and helpful chats/customer service.
I’ve been using Joymode since they were in private beta and they just keep getting better. New products and bundles all the time. I’ve done he backyard movie night at least 4 times and get the cleaning kit on the regular. The app is great too! All of the instructions are right there and it lets you track your delivery driver.
