User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I do like this app, it is extremely useful, however, the one complaint I have about this app is the ease (or lack of) of use. Once you have applied for a job specifically using Indeed to upload your resume and it gives you the option to go back, it takes you to the description of the job again. The Back button does not take you back to the listings. You have to hit the Home button and start from the beginning, not where you left off. If you were on page 10, you have to go page by page to find where you left off. The app also repeats the same postings multiple times, even when you have either already applied or have saved the posting to “Your Jobs.” It’s gets very frustrating to spend an hour and a half and have only been able to apply to a handful of jobs because of having to start your search from the beginning after applying to one. If this was not an issue and I could be taken back to the place I left off I would easily give this app five stars. I find it better than the Monster or Career Builder sites.
I gave it one star and it is just not working out for me and I really want to find a great job that’s going to last forever I receive disability checks and I can only have a part-time job but it seems like there’s not any jobs for people that can fit the requirements and I know probably because of my history but I’m just hoping jobs can see past my work history and help me get a great job they can benefit me for the best i’m trying to calculate my timing and hopefully get interviews but it seems so difficult for urban people in the Baltimore city are you to even receive jobs there’s not anything that we can do but just sit around the home and not really exercise our minds to want to achieve goals when you try so hard it feels like I want to give up but I am hoping that more opportunities will come on and eat for urban areas in my city or even outside of the city I haven’t had a interview with Indy and it seems like no one is calling when you want to have a interview with the job that you want they always say I never fit the requirements and that’s disappointing me I am hoping that you guys can indeed Better for the black community especially people that don’t have for other educational skills I graduated from high school and went to a trade school and it’s still difficult I do not know what else to do next
I’ve been using Indeed for several years, both as a job seeker and as a hiring manager. The service itself has been decent; the amount of legitimate jobs is much higher than several other employment services. However, the user interface is incredibly unfriendly and unreliable. The search filters don’t actually filter anything. When I try to filter jobs so that only full-time ones show up, several part-time jobs still appear. When I try to sort jobs by date posted, the jobs on each results page are randomly listed (e.g. first is 20 hours ago, then 8 hours, then 2 days, then 20 hours, then 30+ days, 10 days, 3 hours, and so on). The job market in my area is intensely competitive and fast-paced; you need to be one of the first 2-3 applicants in order to even be considered. Not only is it annoying to have to manually sort through postings after I’ve applied filters, it’s also a great disservice to me as a job seeker. I’ve missed several opportunities as a result of this faulty sorting. It’s actually quite simple to make a query system that accurately sorts by date and time posted. Why Indeed hasn’t implemented such a system is beyond me.
ALL THE JOBS are FAKES and SCAMS. Do not use indeed or any of the other job boards. You can report a suspected fake ad but they don’t always take it down. Someone on the other end is paying Indeed to place the ad. Why don’t they research that information when a fake ad goes up? A lot of the fake ads are copies of their other ads that are then placed in other cities. Indeed needs to take more responsibly for what ads they place on their website and app. Sponsored ads litter the new updated ads list. A company that is always hiring is probably not the best company to work for. The search engine is worthless. It shows you what it wants to. Refuse to take down fake ads. You get bad reviews. They don’t care about your privacy or your information. I wonder how many people actually get a job using Indeed. It’s all a bunch of hype. The company will allow any paying person to put whatever they want in there. There are no real good jobs out there. They just want users using Indeed so this company can stay in business. Oh and if you delete your account and reopen it. You will notice that your prior information was saved. Yes they are taking and holding your info without your knowledge or right. Illegal!!!!!!
I moved to another state and needed to search for a job, my friend recommended indeed so I downloaded it and started searching after I registered. I applied for a few jobs, next day i had over 58 emails from stupid ads that indeed sold my email to! It’s been a month and I realized that I had missed a few emails from companies that requested me to apply via their website because of so many emails I received from ads and they keep coming! I am forced to open a new email because my junk and inbox are flooded with nothing but useless emails about scholarship, flipping homes, Asian porn, insurance, loans, grants etc... indeed is the worse app ever! It literally takes me a half an hour to go through my emails both inbox and junk JUST to look for responses from companies. Do not download if you don’t want your email given to other 3rd parties. They should have filtered and check for valid businesses before giving out your email. Never again! The salaries are incorrect as posted and the location is way off. I’m receiving job recommendations that are 2 hour drive from where I live. This app has given me nothing but a headache and disappointment.
