iDfish is a smart device application that provides you with reliable and consistent data when out in the field doing what you love best. Fishing! Quickly identify the species, determine the regulated size limit (if applicable), eating quality and if it should be released because of its' protection status. All this information can be obtained in less than 60 seconds and the fish returned to the water, with the best possible chance of survival. iDfish has the largest database of line caught species for mobile applications in the world. All the images of fish within the database are high quality and high resolution. The developers of iDfishTM have gone to great lengths to represent the displayed fish images as they would appear when freshly caught and removed from the water. No tank or underwater photos. No photos of dead fish. No illustrations. Fish change colour, shape and size for a variety of reasons and in an effort to make sure we give you, the angler, the best possible chance of accurate identification, we also provide different colour phases of various species. This feature, coupled with species comparison information, makes this previously difficult task quick and easy. This application works offline and does not require an internet connection to function. I have always enjoyed Fishing but been more of the Fish and Giggle type. I was recommended this App a week ago by a friend but couldn’t get the spelling right in App Store... While I have lived on water before I have now resettled on water and the Gold Coat Broadwater is my back yard now. What a great Back yard!!! I live near Seagrass Beds which are great fish Nursery. Moral of the story is you catch ALL sorts of fish and some Juveniles including Reef Species. None of my friends and Group Members of various groups could ID it for me. BUT the Moderators at iDfish we’re able t help. Presto a Juvenile Sweetlip. I need to get better at Fish Morphology but practice will make perfect as I plan to live where I am for a long time!!!! Thank Kristian for pointing me in the right direction. Cheers Mark
I have been taking my 9 yr old twins fishing and having no idea what we catch. A pic posted on a fishing site it is. That was until Kristian reached out to help and suggested his app. Not only is it easy to use, informative, and well thought out even one of my pics was used. This mummy is chuffed!!!!!! Great work to all of the developers and to Kristian...... Thank you for amazing communication, helping me when needed, and for all your advice for your app. I really appreciate and recommend this to everyone. 1 happy mummy!!! Celeste
This is now my go to app for identifying any unknown fish myself or friends catch. The app mechanics are simple which makes for a fast and easy to use. The pictures are clear and accurate. The information on each species are very informative and I really like that you can add your current catches to your “bag” keeping tabs on your bag limits for you. The app’s ID feature also works offline aswell so if you’re out offshore with no reception you can still ID your fish! Highly recommend for everyone.
Been using this app for years it’s accurate easy to use and can be accessed anywhere even without reception. Customer service is great and reply punctually to questions. Overall this app is the best I have found and the price is very reasonable for the quality of the platform. IDfish have done a great job making this app.
This app has helped us identify many species of fish, along with size and catch limits. The features of the app are easy to use and I like that the app is updated regularly with new species/colours etc. For us newbie fisherman it’s a valuable tool to help identify correctly so as to not get caught out doing the wrong thing. Good value for the money and I recommend to any fisherman.
