I remember when I purchased this app! It’s free now, but I’ve never regretted investing in hype machine! I’ve told all my friends, when everyone asks where did u get this playlist? It’s just all my hype machine likes! Every day I’ve found a new gem. And here I am years later playing my playlist on shuffle. Which I’ve never done. And every song, every like / save brings back a memory. A time with a friend , a new adventure, somehow this app just surprised me even more and I didn’t think it was possible. Thank you for such a beautiful and classic app. This will always be my go to music app.
For years, I’ve admired friends who are always aware of new, interesting music. Maybe all this time they’ve just been using Hype Machine. I’ve listened to more new music in the last month than in the prior six months. Lovely service and a solid, useful app.
Love Hype machine for all the new music and artists it’s introduced me to, no issues with music aspect at all. But as for playback, every time I pause a song for a while, like longer than 30 sec, and go back to the app to resume the song, I’m met with a black screen and “Label” on the bottom. No access to menu or anything, so then I have to close and reopen and find the last song I was listening to. Really hope this is fixed soon bc it’s quite annoying having to do that every time!
Check in on the popular list once or twice a week and start favoriting tracks. Soon enough you’ll have a heck of a collection
I’ve been a fan and follower since 2010. Every couple of years I reopen the app and am reminded of how great of a source it is for discovering new music that i love. I end up falling in love with it again for a while
