I have run Homebridge before with a totally manual setup. I transitioned to Home Assistant and am exceedingly happy with it but I have a couple of devices that Homebridge currently supports while HA is working on supporting them. I set up a Raspberry Pi to run Homebridge and link it to my HA installation. Installing Homebridge with this app is definitely easier than a manual setup. Where it falls down, though, is with .json support. There is none, other than giving you a link to a json validation web site. I hate working with jsons and hoped for at least a little help with them.
