User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Edited: I had to come back and change this review. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it and everything worked beautiful.
Something is wrong with your digital platform. If I buy an issue through the app, the cover and all of the ads contained within will load no problem, but the moment you get to a page containing actual content, the articles within, I get “wheel of deathed.” The load wheel starts spinning amidst a white backdrop and no content ever loads. I have literally allowed it hours to process and no article will ever shows up. So basically you are paying money to behold a shiny cover and a flipbook of abs, but no actual substance, and I am very displeased, because it has been like this for over a year since I first downloaded it, and no one has fixed it.
One star since the app doesn't work. I have iPhone 6s with recent iOS 10 update and still doesn't work. I purchased a year script and it won't download on my iPad Air or iPhone. I contact customer service and was pushed to the app developer. The app developer couldn't resolve the problem so now I am pushed to Apple. I am the one who used my money to buy the app, so why am I having to run around and contact all these different people. You would think someone would be willing to help....or how about I get paid then if I am the one doing all the work to try and solve the issue...
As pleased as I am to have access to HT in mobile form, I am very disappointed with the app design and usability. The design and navigation is clumsy, and the formatting of the context is pretty lousy. Some articles are in all caps. In those articles some letters are randomly lower-case. The biggest issue, however, is that the image spreads are shrunk to fit my screen and I can't zoom into them! On an iPhone 5 that makes it impossible to see the market stats or to read an advertisement I am interested in. I really really hope that you guys do some work on improving this app experience. Your magazine deserves it! If you need inspiration, please refer to the Bloomberg Businessweek app which does a great job of making their publication mobile-friendly, especially for small screens.
Purchase annual subscription, charged and no electronic magazine. Every time I'd ever purchased from Newsstand I've gotten screwed over. Here again it happens I'll need to take time calling, filling out forms, going through major headaches to either get my money back or subscription working. Newsstand is Apple's biggest loser app, worse customer service from all providers including Hightimes. Frustrating to pay for a product and to never get it. So here I go... Only to achieve massive headaches, I'll never purchase electronic magazines again.
