GSDfaster helps you get stuff done faster & be more productive.

GSDfaster empowers you with tools and a thinking process to offload your ideas and stuff into a trusted source for delayed processing. GSDfaster at the core is a GTD (Getting Things Done) method developed by David Allen. It takes something that's Implicit and moves it into an Explicit state. GSDfaster finally helps you focus using an in-built Tomato Timer Technique to generate results.

*** MEET ERNEST ***

My name is Ernest and I built GSDfaster to solve my own productivity woes back in 2005. GSDfaster is a unique app maintained by me (not a company) out of sheer love for productivity. Unlike companies that build apps; they come and go. As a consumer it is hard to invest time and resources into short lived products. GSDfaster stands the test of time since its maintained by an individual, not a company.

*** PRIVACY MATTERS ***

My philosophy behind incognito product development is that privacy matters. When you meet a new person do you reveal all your inner personal story? Of course not. As an experienced software engineer I know how other companies store your data, in plain text; unencrypted on their servers. You only ever find out when they have a data breach.

*** RUNS OFF THE GRID ***

Have you tried to run your other apps offline or in poor internet connectivity environments? Most will fail. GSDfaster excels. This is an app you can always rely on to be available for you with or without an internet connection.

*** CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP ***

GSDfaster is 5 x cheaper than a burger or your morning mocha. And you have it for life. This app will serve you a lifetime. With lifetime free support.

*** FREE PRODUCTIVITY EDUCATION ***

I blog here http://www.gsdfaster.com/blog/ on productivity and how to use GSDfaster app to make the most of your investment. Please spend some time reviewing this section and leave a comment.

I love feedback so please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or a send a tweet https://twitter.com/gsdfaster
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I really love this app, especially the simple interface. But I find it too much of a pain to set recurring tasks, which are a major part of my workflow. To do this, you have to allow the app to link to your iCal, which is fine with me. But then it doesn’t load all the repeating event features of iCal. You have to pick a time rather than just a day and frequency; there is no option to set an “all day” recurring task. The buttons which allow you to choose frequency are daily, weekly, monthly, and then another button beginning “ti...” that runs right off my iPad screen. There doesn’t seem to be a custom option, that would, for example, allow you to repeat tasks only on weekdays. Editing a calendar-linked task is also buggy. First, it switches off any repeat you’ve set, so you have to set that again. On some tasks, it refuses to allow me to change the specific calendar (within iCal) to which the task is linked. Setting a default calendar seems to do nothing. I don’t begrudge the developer the small fee as it’s a great app otherwise and I’ll keep checking back in the hope that these problems have been worked out, but for now I’m moving on to yet another task manager.
In this day and age of privacy breaches and in app monthly subscriptions, it’s heartening to see an app that adopts a user friendly approach. I applaud the developer for having the guts to take this approach in monetizing the app. But unfortunately, it looks like this model isn’t motivating enough for the developer, as there haven’t been any updates in over a year.
I’ve been searching for ages for a good way to manage my to do list across multiple projects. GTD was always an imagined bonus, but no luck. This one is a gem. Simple, light weight, and a painless workflow—so easy to collect items quickly and process later. Takes a little getting the hang of, but no barrier. However…once I got the hang, I turned on iCloud sync. Ernest warned that things would temporarily disappear, but would then return. But they didn’t. I reconstructed everything from scratch, but still can’t sync between iPhone and iPad. I sent requests for help for a couple of months, but no response. Ernest prefers that channel rather than criticism here, which I respect. But with no response, this is my only recourse. I would have rated this 5 stars, if only someone had responded. (I’d even be willing to pay for this app, if only there was someone there.)
This app is very simple, yet it enables the management of a wide array of actionable items with ease. Quickly capture thoughts, not worrying about where they fit into the priority stack, until you have time to do that exercise properly. Fantastic.
I tried out the free version (GTDfaster) and liked it, so inside the app it said to use more features upgrade to GSDfaster. I did just that, but none of my information (buckets, tasks, etc) copies over. Now I have to re-enter everything?? Other than this, a great app.
