FreqCounter is a professional digital Sound Wave Analyzer application, multifunctional and handy. It can be used to display the real-time waveform of sounds, to analyze audio signal with its frequencies and power levels. You can move, zoom in and out by gestures to get more signal details. With mighty FFT spectrum analysis function, you can find out the top 5 frequencies in any frequency range you care about. FreqCounter is an excellent noise detector, helps you to find the source of noise which might bother you. It is also an outstanding education tool of acoustics. Feature Highlights: ・Capture Sample Rate: 16bit, 48kHz ・Measurable Signal Bandwidth: 20 ~ 20,000 Hz ・Real-time Waveform Display: 4096 Samples/frame ・Input VU Power Level Digital Display: -160 ~ 0 dB ・Precise Time and Frequency Scale: ms, us, Hz ・Gestures: Tap to pause. Move the waveform with single finger slide and zoom it with double fingers slide. ・FFT analysis: Analyze frequency spectrum in real-time. Show the top 5 frequencies in the current frequency range displayed.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Frequency bounces around. I had been using Feedback Detector on my old phone but it's not longer available it worked great. This one doesn't. Ugh.
Why does the decibel meter consistently read -47+- db even when no audio is present? Maybe that should be the floor (first bar) indication? Can the freq counter be made to respond to audio peaks and ignore low level noise? Gave it 3 stars because it's fun to play with. But it has lots of potential...... Please work on it and update .
I frequently (no pun intended) use this app to show my grandkids how the piano and bell notes work. It works very well. I would like to have a gain adjustment since the waveforms often exceed the display height so you can't see the shape of the waveform. It would be great if you could set "keep waveform within display" that adjusted the gain to keep the waveform peaks on the display. As it dies out, it could get smaller than full scale.
Great Job! This is an awesome app! I used my reference stereo with Denon's Audio Technical CD. All tests were on the money. I was surprised just how accurate this app is. From tones to sweeps and bursts. This app for the people that understand how to use it and what it can do is amazing! *****Solid 5 Stars!***** Mike Gallichio
I am having fun watching different sounds on this (hum, whistle, make glass squeak, try to catch the cat purring). I thought it had caused my battery to run down early, but I think now that I was wrong about that (except in the usual sense that I was spending more time playing with it).
