User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I want to preface this review with this: I love this app!!!!!! The massive problem though is I’ve had to re-download this 5 times now because often times when I open it, even if I just had it open, it will be just a blank white screen and load nothing. It has happened 5 times now and that is the only thing that makes this a 4/5 app, not 5/5. Just frustrating to be in the middle of a workout and you need to take 5 minutes to re-download:(
I’ve used several training apps and keep coming back to this one. Feels intuitive and thought out. I like how simple it is to build a workout and tweak it as I go. MFP integration is done beautifully. Only improvement I recommend would be the demo videos. In the middle of the workout, I don’t need an explanation. Just need to see how it’s done. Also, some demos are done with poor attention to detail (poor form or long winded cues) and several videos have edit cuts still in them. I like that I can plug in my own but would love them to be consistent. Keep up the great work! It’s paying off!!
The app doesn’t crash, but the user interface is poor. Instead of easy to understand Start/Pause/Stop buttons, it has buttons labeled Check In and Track. They both end the workout unexpectedly. For example, if you try to watch a trainer video when you’re on the Track screen, the workout ends. You never get a confirmation screen of whether you want a workout to end. You can edit the labels on the workout items, but the edits don’t stay saved. And you can make the edits only when a workout is in progress, not in advance. Same goes for rearranging the order. It seems the developers didn’t research standard software conventions or look at well-made apps before creating this one.
This app is awesome, very helpful and super easy to use. I love the workouts and the tutorial videos, I love the ability to track my workouts, body stats, progress photos in the app. It will never shut down on you and loose your reps and sets info, even if you close the app in the middle of a workout or forget to save your data. Next time you open it, you will be exactly where you left at. It definitely helps to stay on track and to track your fitness progress. I love Ben’s app and highly recommend it)
The worst workout app I’ve ever used. I’ve hesitated writing a review for a year because I (wrongly) assumed it would be fixed considering so many coaches use it but it only get MORE AWFUL. Now, whenever the app is open, it freezes my entire phone. I’ve resulted to writing down the workout from my coach (which is given to me through the app) in my notes and filling it in later when I have more time to wait 1 minute between entering numbers for my phone to unfreeze. It makes me want to pull my hair out and throw my phone against a wall. THE WORST. Every time I see an update I’m hopeful it will be fixed even just a LITTLE but it’s only deteriorating. Avoid this app at all costs.
