Have used this with pre-k to 2nd grade to teach and reinforce quick recognition of a number of items. Adjustable time limit is so helpful. Good graphics and sounds. It's my students' fav way to practice subitizing. Thanks for fixing the glitches!
I like the tens frame visuals in this app. Many times the correct answer choice was not provided. I don't want students learning facts incorrectly or becoming frustrated when they can't choose the correct answer. This also skews the data report that can be emailed. Once these glitches are fixed, I think it will be a good app my students will enjoy. ***App support was very good. I emailed the issues to the developer and received a very quick response. I went back to test and have not had any issues since. Thanks! I am now excited to use this app with students.
Terrific app for young mathematicians-Pre-K to 2nd grade and special education. Lots of choices including counting to 10 or to 20, adding 10, and adding sums to 7, 11 or 18, using a 10 frame format to encourage subitizing. You can set a timer for 3-30 seconds per question, and turn on or off the correct answer screen depending on whether the child needs positive reinforcement. Incorrect answers can be practiced again by choosing 'missed facts' from the start screen. It's a beautiful app with nice clean graphics. You can email scores to track progress.
I have watched Kindergartners using this app. You can see their minds making sense of numbers. At first they count each dot, but then they figure out that each row is five and that two rows are ten. Then they see a row of dots and one more and think, "One more than five. That is six." Witnessing their "AHA" moment is a joy.
This app does not display the correct answer. Of the two choices offered, more than half the time the correct answer is not available. Please fix. The children like the fact that they can control the options. Please fix answers displayed.
