...just not worth the cost. The features are available in most other apps at no cost.
After my stroke in 2014 I had to find a way to get around Dallas that was easier then grabbing a best route map every time I needed to get somewhere, and after while those pesky routes would change, sometimes without warning. Sometimes my plans would change but I did not have the schedule or a map of where to change busses because not every bus stop has the schedule posted. On top of all of this is the fact that I was running out of room in my small backpack for all of the paper schedules put out by dart there are so hard to read that changing buses as an art form. And I don’t have time to appreciate art when trying to get to a doctor’s appointment. Now my life is much less stressful without having to deal with all of that extraneous mental heavy lifting due to this app. A great idea, and the frequent updates keep me on time for more things now that I have more time to enjoy life while saving the planet as well. Best app ever.
The app does not coordinate with the actual departure times of buses. The purpose of this app is to put in your start point and final destination and show you how to get there using various connections. But then you discover the bus schedules do not align with this app. You cannot trust it! You will miss your appointments!
Worked great until I paid, now it can’t find any routes
Worth every penny if you use buses and the light rail. If you only use light rail, Google maps will probably do. If you use all the levels of Dallas public transportation this app makes it very easy. It uses a Google maps interface but is strictly bus/rail routes. It shows you the time you have before your route will start (in 4min bus 76; in 15min bus 134, in 17min Green line, etc) it also shows all your options and how long each takes (so one bus may come sooner but has a transfer and more stops where another bus comes later but takes you exactly where you need to go). It's WAY better than the dart website and only better than google because it's more focused to public transportation. You must purchase the app after DL but it's very worth it if you use the dart regularly
