Expedition with Plurals was created by a certified speech and language pathologist for PK–3 students to practice regular (e.g., cat/cats) and irregular plurals (foot/feet) in multiple contexts, targeting both receptive and expressive language skills and accompanied by recorded audio instructions. This fun and colorful app includes both an audio recording feature that allows students to hear their productions and a fun memory game that can be customized. <br><br>Expedition with Plurals can be used for students with conditions including:<br><br>- Receptive/expressive language disorders<br>- Learning disorders<br>- Autism <br>- Specific language learning disorders<br><br>Expedition with Plurals allows students to practice regular and irregular plurals in five activity types:<br><br>- Auditory bombardment<br>- Picture identification<br>- Fill-in <br>- Make up sentences (with audio recording feature)<br>- A bonus memory game<br><br>Expedition with Plurals is easy to navigate and allows users to perform the following tasks: <br><br>- Enter multiple students<br>- Change settings <br>- Select multiple words<br>- Select multiple activity types <br>- Select auto-scoring<br>- Select alternate counts for multiple students <br>- Enable or disable written picture descriptions <br>- Use audit recording feature when playing "Make up sentences"<br>- Track correct and incorrect responses <br>- View reports<br>- E-mail results at the end of a game
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
App allows you to select/deselect pairs and offers 5 different games. I am not a big fan of the sentence filling in one, but do like the others. Suggestion to developers - Please change pictures for foot and feet - footprint and footprints are NOT the same as foot and feet and would be marked incorrectly if I child referred to them as such on a formal language assessment.
This program has been very helpful for my 8 year-old son who has expressive language disorder autism spectrum disorder and auditory processing disorder. Being able to compare the irregular verbs with the pictures have been the most helpful for him using the auditory bombardment section of this app. Then when he goes to play the games he's so proud of himself that he got it right. This is also been helpful for my nine-year-old daughter who also has expressive language disorder. She has found it very helpful now that she understands better the plurals that she was having challenges with at the beginning of the year. Thank you for making this app that is fun and engaging for my children.
My students language therapy students enjoy this app and don't mind not playing a board game when this app to presented in therapy. The progression of skill levels from auditory bombardment to creating your own sentence guides us through the developmental levels and allows us to start at their current level of need. The pictures are appropriate for all ages. My students often ask to record their speech so this app meets their requests. This app is well worth the price.
This app is a great way for students to learn regular and irregular plurals. I love that this app provides different level of play from auditory bombardment to identification to creating sentences, with level in between. I do wish there was a reinforcer within the game. The app can be customized to work on specific word pairs.
I like that you can choose which words to target for each child.
