So i’ve been playing this game everyday for almost 2 weeks now and in that time I’ve managed to unlock 10 evas and rank pretty high up in the various leaderboards. I haven’t spent a dime. That said, it’s a game that really requires daily play and completion of challenges if you want to progress. The combat isn’t very very complex, and controlling your eva can be slightly wonky on occasion, but online play is very fun thanks to the addition of a simple block mechanic absent from solo play. I’d be lying if I said I don’t love this game, but only because it’s free to play and i don’t mind waiting weeks to unlock a powerful mech. Invest some time in understanding the mechanics and you’ll find the game to be pretty simple and fun. Localization is awkward at times, but the story is just diet Rebuild, so watch the movies and ignore the game’s dialogue. The most damning feature aside from a slow progression is the pay to win that sort of arises as a result. I can still beat players with eva 13 and eva 6 and eva 2 beast mode with my 3, 1 berserk, and 5, for instance, in arena mode, however the odds are really stacked. Especially in leaderboards and 3v3. TL;DR big robot game is fun i just wish i wasn’t so tempted to spend money bc of slow pace. I wish devs would have more weekly challenges and clearly explain upgrade systems. I say play it.
I put some money into this game just to see the potential of it. I think I am at VIP 11 . Very fun game to play I have 2 of the F Type Eva’s unlocked. But I find the button pushing not working correctly it seems sometimes you have to push the button 5 times for special attacks to actually work. In the three versus three matches I find my odds are way above the enemy and I still lose matches which makes no sense because my Eva’s classes are higher and have more strength and I still end up losing matches. Same thing on transport mode when trying to hijack transports I’ve put high level Eva's against low level Eva’s And could not for the life of me even win one Match. It seems like when you play the computer it takes an act of God to win. The computer seems to have unlimited blocks and every time you try to do a move it does the same one back on you. Also it doesn’t matter where you’re standing on the screen when The computer does a special move it hits you every time but if you’re not in direct line with the computer you’re attack misses every time. It actually kind of pisses you off. I like the game but it has bugs you should not lose a lot of the matches you lose.
This goes out to the developers. This is a good game, visually very attractive, and generally well organized. That being said, it needs performance improvements, gameplay tweaking, and utility optimization. The controls for the game tend to be a bit clunky, and streamlining that a bit could help. Also the setup of the game is too grand, simpler engagement within the game would be awesome. Sometimes there are just too many rewards to collect, and to spend on various items within the game. One example that comes to mind is the way Mortal Kombat X is presented on the mobile platform. Everything is available, but it’s really easy to understand how, what, and why you do things in the game. The presentation for this game is just sometimes too complex, hard to find things and sometimes requires a player to remember to engage in too many different activities. Also the language translation within the game needs much more improvement. I realize this is developed outside of the U.S., but if you’re going to use English as the main written language, please make sure it’s legible to today’s standards. Thank you developers!
This game is a fun way to spend some free time each day and enjoy a little bit of the Evangelion universe. However, the game is plagued by two major bugs: 1) game randomly shuts down during game play and kicks you back to your phone home screen and 2) sever disconnection. The first problem is a minor inconvenience and you just have to log back into the game. Hopefully, you aren’t in the middle of a mission because it will finish it and you may win or lose.... who knows. The second problem is a major issue. The server I play on was down for almost 2 days, then when it finally got back up it went down again. This problem is localized to a specific sever and apparently happens at random to any server. There is an event going on so a large amount of progress was lost. Overall, a fun F2P game for fans of Evangelion. However, do not invest money in this game as your returns will be diminished by game connectivity issues.
For years I’ve been searching for a way to get an evangelion game. Even looked to mobile platforms that had evangelion events but they always left me wanting as they only had moving pictures and kinda crappy or confusing new looks (unison league) but now my search has come to an end after 10 years. I never could get my hands on the n64 game or a Japanese Dreamcast but here is an EVA game that puts you into the story as well as possible for a mobile platform. They also have extra units and the ability to interact with the pilots! There maybe a few control issues but that’s going to happen with a touch screen interface please keep up the good work and I’m very happy that you put in the jet alone series.
