So I’ve seen signs at many of my favorite locations that they deliver with door dash, so I have it a go. Found my favorite pizza shop that doesn’t offer delivery but now they use door dash. I went on the app to place my order. First what I did not like was that I wasn’t able to pick just a pepperoni pizza. I was obligated to choose a “topping” which I always thought pepperoni was a topping but guess I was wrong. I ended up having to choose from a list of 5 items which none I liked but could only bare one “bacon”. We are not bacon lovers but an occasional piece here and there isn’t going to hurt. I could not choose to only pick half with bacon so I had to get the whole thing with bacon which we ended up picking off most of the pieces. Secondly there was no drink option not sure if that’s because they don’t want to carry a beverage (2 liter bottle). Lastly it says you get “FREE” delivery for the first time but what’s the point of FREE DELIVERY when you still get charged a service fee in addition to having to leave a tip. So $51 dollars later for a large pizza, wings and mozzarella sticks I must say that as much as a convenience it is to have my favorite pizza delivered I will be picking up next time so I can get exactly what I want and not what they want me to pick. This will most likely be the last time I use this service. Bad enough eating out is expensive it cost also $20 more to have it delivered.

First of all, the app is way too slow to load. Secondly, even when I did get it to load, whenever (by which I mean, “EVERY TIME”) I tried to add an item to my cart, the app gave an error message suggesting that the item couldn’t be added to my cart—which was a bald-faced lie because it turns out that those items WERE getting added to my cart. This led to my third problem; whenever I tried to remove one of the four orders of enchiladas that the app had tricked me into putting in my cart, the app got stuck on a loading wheel. Through a tedious process of going back a page and clicking on “My Cart” repeatedly, I was finally able to remove the extra items and add the item that I wanted to (after sitting through the aforementioned load times and BS error messages). Then, when I tried to checkout, I got an error message that just read, “Oops.” I kid you not. After confirming that this error message was telling the truth, i.e. that my order had not gone through, I tried again until, by some miracle, the order went through. Or so I thought, because as I was in the middle of writing this review, I got a call from DoorDash saying that my order was cancelled because of problems on the restaurant’s end. Luckily, they offered a full refund. I’ll give them a second chance, in case they weren’t full of it, and the problems were caused by the restaurant (I’ve read online reviews that strongly suggest otherwise), but I would not recommend that anyone else give them a first.

To whom ever it may concern, I had waited for over an hour and a half to two hours for my food before I fell asleep. I did already understand that it was going to be a long wait because of the event going on near my location, but what ended up happening was not great. Initially, someone by the name of James B was supposed to retrieve my food and deliver it to me. However, as I waited for last few minutes until the food was supposed to be at my door, within the last ten minutes or so, my deliverer changed without even notifying me, and I personally think that is an absolute inconvenience, and resulted in horrible customer experience, especially when it will significantly change your delivery time. After noticing the change in deliverers, I then found out that I would have to wait another hour to hour and a half. By that point, I was irritated and frustrated because I was really looking forward to that meal and was also extremely tired. I would’ve wished that I could’ve received either a full or partial refund, because my night definitely let down. If o would’ve known this could’ve happened, I would’ve just ordered through elsewhere. And how in the initial email are you going to tell customers that they can respond to that email, “ Please don't hesitate to respond to this email if you have any questions or concerns.” Then, once we hit send all of a sudden we can’t respond to that email..... I’ll be removing this app from my device.

I used the app and was able to order food when traveling. The second time when ordering at work it did not process so I tried to submit again and it told me my account was deactivated. I reached out to support to find out what happened as my credit card is in good standing. Support sent me an email saying they would look into it. A week later I followed up to see if there was any resolution which they replied back with a link to their legal terms page and said I had violated their terms. THAT WAS IT. That was their customer service response to their app failing during normal use. I even checked with my credit card company which told me they had not denied any transactions from DoorDash and my card was still active and valid. I also tried to place an order using a different email address to see if I could still order and it came back as account deactivated most likely since I used the same credit card. So that was my experience with the worst customer service and app fail. Their app failed and their response was THAT I VIOLATED their terms during normal use of placing a lunch order. I find it so funny. They could’ve replied with a different response to discover what error may be happening with their service and chose to place the blame on me. Good luck with anyone choosing to use this company. I wish DoorDash the best and hope they will do better in the future with their service and how they decide to treat their customers.

My boyfriend and I had ordered from a local restaurant around 6PM. We got the order to go through, and we were waiting for the dasher to arrive. The dasher calls us and asks us if we would be willing to substitute an item because they ran out of what we wanted, and we said yes. We wait. It said our dasher was still at the store waiting for our order after 40 minutes, with a delivery ETA AT 1-3 mins. We called our dasher to ask him if everything was okay. He said “no” and hung up on us. We then proceeded to call the local restaurant we had ordered from, and we asked them if they had received our order. The restaurant employee then said they never received an order from door dash for us. We then call customer service, where the woman helping us had told us that the order went through and that she will call the store to confirm another dasher and have it delivered shortly. We waited. At 7:30 we called customer service AGAIN to check and make sure we have an order. We were told (from a different customer service woman) that the previous woman we had spoken to from customer service, had cancelled our order, without confirming with us. Then we call the store, and they were supposedly “closed” and wouldn’t answer our calls. I check the time they close on google and it said 9 PM. So we lost our money and at least an hour and forty five minutes of our time. If you love having your time wasted, please use this app. It would be perfect for you.
