This app covers all the basic needs, it shows me my daughters levels and alerts me to highs and lows. BUT, I bought an apple watch 4 recently to only find out the UK version of Dexcom Follow doesn't have iwatch compatibility. I use sugarmate instead, but the numbers are small on the screen and buried within lots of other numbers, like the 10 minute time slot of the calendar entry, and the result taken time. So at a glance it can be confusing, especially half asleep in the night. I want to be able to open Dexcom Follow as an app on my watch. Dexcom please update the UK app ASAP, we pay a lot of money per month for a great piece of tech, being able to see it at a glance would be greatly appreciated. Mum to a 5yo t1d
This app is functional I.e.-it does what it is supposed to do. And for that I am very grateful. However, there are a few things that could be improved. I would love to be able to see every reading on the follow app for my daughter which would give me a better idea of rate of change. Number one improvement required-we need an Apple Watch app!!!!!!! Please Dexcom!!
24 hours in and this seems like a great app - exactly what we want from a Bluetooth enabled CGM. No issues so far with communicating with the sensor - it's probably a little shorter distance than a standard Bluetooth device but it does reconnect after a few minutes of being back in close proximity. It would be nice to see when the last data was obtained during periods of loss of signal. Haven't quite managed to master the alerts yet, getting recurring ones after acknowledgement but it seems like a great feature. Apple Watch support would also be a really useful addition - or at least some detail in the notifications on the watch interface.
New to G5 system and have had quite a few issues with lost transmitter and no data. Generally closing the app and restarting and waiting sorts it but I have to do the same to the receiver iPhone. Not good enough for a medical device for a child. Would also be better if I could see carbs entered and insulin given the same as the receiver. Would like to see graphs for a week too.
The app is ok tells me the basics but sometimes the alerts down go off when my daughter blood sugar are on the rise and then goes off when they are really high. I brought an Apple Watch only to find out this app is not supported which is not the best, because if I am in a meeting I don’t always have my phone and I brought the watch to make it easier but it’s not the case 😔
