I truly enjoy the game and I find it very fun, however there are a couple of things that I find very frustrating about the game. The voting on the game is unfair, paring someone on level 5 with someone on level 35 is really unfair for the lower level player. First of all lower level players don’t have the cooler hair and make up the higher up players have, with that alone lower level player very rarely can score higher score, it’s almost impossible. Votes should be generate per level exemple level 5 against level 5 and and so on . Another thing thing that I find very annoying in the game is the 8.99 for the hair accessory, that is very expensive , it should be way less and player should be able to pay with the game currency, and if player want to spend real money than they can spend real money. Lastly I think players should take into consideration of the items that the models are using are in season or not. Covet should actually have a way to show above the models image when voting their season meter. I think it’s really unfair to the new players or player in general who spends “money” on the game to get everything in season and get doesn’t even get 5 stars. Overall the game it’s fun and Covet is constantly working on bugs. I hope this review is helpful to new players and to Covet itself to do some updates on their end.
Covet is really fun to play...but it’s really expensive...first of all each level and there are 76 levels currently take a lot of in game money to reach...I have been playing since 2014 and am at level 73 and I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game I’m pretty sure a couple of thousands within these 5 years...I could have saved that money but when times in life are hard it does become an outlet and you can socialize in your fashion house...oh and it can take you a whole year to get a Top Look or more...also the winning looks are almost all the same and there are houses that pretty much cheat by determining the best look...let’s also talk about skin color...aka colorism...it’s really hard to win a Challenge with a dark skin model even if the look is drop dead gorgeous because the challenge pictures are mostly of white models...Cover is becoming more diverse but players usually follow the challenge pic...really beautiful dark models do score high most of the time but if the challenge pic isn’t a picture of a person of color then forget about a top look smh...also I agree the voting isn’t fair at all...I’m currently playing the daily and a couple of challenges a day...I save from the daily challenge and daily diamonds Because I have spent too much money on this game this year so far smh...it’s addictive so be prepared and ave your coins!
I’ve been playing this game for some years now. I’ll delete it and then redownload it when I get bored. I’ve recently started to really get into it and I realized why I end up not playing after a few challenges. The game is fun. I love styling outfits for my model to wear. Makes me feel like I’m a designer or something ha. What I don’t like is that the game is really expensive. I find myself, after entering about two challenges, with technically no in-game money. I’m a low level so I end up having to buy all the required stuff as well as buying new stuff to go with the stuff I just bought so in the end, I end up being stuck. I can’t enter challenges cuz I can’t afford the required items but I can’t afford the required items because I can’t complete challenges. It’s a catch 22. Keeping ticket currency is easy, it’s the in-game money and diamonds that’s hard to keep. Then the app expects you to buy diamonds and currency for real money. The lowest package is 1.99 for 600 diamonds which will probably get you 1-3 clothing items depending on how expensive they are. So to conclude, the reason I always stop playing this game is cuz I’m stuck in limbo between not being able to complete challenges due to not having enough currency to buy clothing and not being able to receive currency from winning challenges I can’t compete in. And I refuse to real money for this game. So yeah 🤷🏾♀️. I’m deleting right now..
I do love this game. I spend some of my own money (like an idiot) and have a style score of 5.7. HOWEVER, so many things frustrate me. Almost every time, all the top looks for a challenge are the exact same look. The only difference is hair styles. Are you kidding me? Maybe it is Fashion Houses voting for their own (I don’t belong to one), but come on! Figure something out with the voting. Also, too many challenges are ridiculous fairytale or mythical themes that would require a player to purchase armor and crazy pieces they’ll rarely use. I love time travel themes, but stop requiring pieces that basically tie a players hands at being original and actually using items from their closets. I also think $8.99 for ONE hair accessory is insane. I’ve written multiple comments directly on the site to Covet Fashion and just get the canned response about notifying the developers. I even pointed out typos, not to be a jerk, but because with all the money we are spending on this site I expect them to have their act together. I’m also at the end (?) of the Jet Set challenges and am curious if there will ever be more beyond the golf one. Didn’t the developers anticipate progress in those levels? Again, I really do love this game, but as a fairly new player I’m gathering a lot of my frustrations are similar to many from the past and apparently have had little impact with the developers.
Levels are done by what your closest is worth. So someone, who’s closet is worth $400,000, is level 12. Someone who is at level 46, has a closet that is worth $3.7 million dollars. The more items in your closet, the higher the value of your closet. The more items you have to chose from, the better your results. So how is it fair, to put a level 12 next to a level 46, and have voters choose the best look? Clearly the odds are in the favor on the person who has more items in their closest. Obviously the person who is a higher level is good at design, so it’s not like that they got there by luck. If you are going to have voters choose, put a level 12 against a level 11 or 13, maybe a 14. I think they are aiming to get people to buy more diamonds to add things to their closest, because you pretty much have to buy more to get to the higher levels. Also, to get things like tiaras and veils (they have bridal challenges), you have to be at the higher levels AND pay $9 to unlock them. I decided to try one design with a tiara, and a similar design on another without a tiara. The one with a tiara got a 4.96 rating from voters. The one that didn’t, barely got a 4 rating. Unblock a few more accessories or at minimum, give one vail, and a tiara like headpiece. Or, don’t make people pay for ever single hair accessory. Get to the levels unlock the basic ones, and the more elaborate ones you can charge for. Fix the uneven voting and I’ll change my rating.
