I truly enjoy the game and I find it very fun, however there are a couple of things that I find very frustrating about the game. The voting on the game is unfair, paring someone on level 5 with someone on level 35 is really unfair for the lower level player. First of all lower level players don’t have the cooler hair and make up the higher up players have, with that alone lower level player very rarely can score higher score, it’s almost impossible. Votes should be generate per level exemple level 5 against level 5 and and so on . Another thing thing that I find very annoying in the game is the 8.99 for the hair accessory, that is very expensive , it should be way less and player should be able to pay with the game currency, and if player want to spend real money than they can spend real money. Lastly I think players should take into consideration of the items that the models are using are in season or not. Covet should actually have a way to show above the models image when voting their season meter. I think it’s really unfair to the new players or player in general who spends “money” on the game to get everything in season and get doesn’t even get 5 stars. Overall the game it’s fun and Covet is constantly working on bugs. I hope this review is helpful to new players and to Covet itself to do some updates on their end.
Honestly I’m obsessed with this game. I love it. It is my one guilty pleasure. It is expensive because you have to buy clothes otherwise it takes forever to level up. Leveling up is important because with each new level you get new hair and makeup. Typically that scores higher. People vote on the looks. I am okay with higher levels being paired with lower levels because higher levels have worked HARD and put in their dues. The one thing that is weird for me is that some ppl vote for the tackiest looks thinking “more is more” just because the doll is overflowing with props and tons of layers. I feel like a lot of tacky looks get voted higher than looks that actually look amazing regardless of level. I do wish there was a curve in the scoring also because I have made multiple 4.99 and 4.98 looks that I didn’t get 5 star rewards for. It’d be nice if Covet just bumped that up. Lol. I do love getting rewards and I love the $0.99 FB challenge packs. For how expensive the game is I think Covet could add in a few more incentives, and I do think they’re getting better at that. I’d love if every now and then they sold diamonds in bulk for a discounted price. Like a hundred thousand diamonds for a hundred dollars. That would give some people a real chance at leveling up! It’s a fun game, addictive, and super satisfying to play.
Covet is really fun to play...but it’s really expensive...first of all each level and there are 76 levels currently take a lot of in game money to reach...I have been playing since 2014 and am at level 73 and I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game I’m pretty sure a couple of thousands within these 5 years...I could have saved that money but when times in life are hard it does become an outlet and you can socialize in your fashion house...oh and it can take you a whole year to get a Top Look or more...also the winning looks are almost all the same and there are houses that pretty much cheat by determining the best look...let’s also talk about skin color...aka colorism...it’s really hard to win a Challenge with a dark skin model even if the look is drop dead gorgeous because the challenge pictures are mostly of white models...Cover is becoming more diverse but players usually follow the challenge pic...really beautiful dark models do score high most of the time but if the challenge pic isn’t a picture of a person of color then forget about a top look smh...also I agree the voting isn’t fair at all...I’m currently playing the daily and a couple of challenges a day...I save from the daily challenge and daily diamonds Because I have spent too much money on this game this year so far smh...it’s addictive so be prepared and ave your coins!
Game is super fun and addictive. The issue is diamonds cost a lot of money. You can get 3,300 diamonds for $9.99 (there are smaller and bigger packs too) that’s not even enough for some of the dresses and accessories you need for certain challenges. I use to try to “earn” diamonds through tapjoy but they stopped making it so you just had to download a game and play to earn. Now you have to subscribe and spend money on things like magazines. So the diamonds aren’t really free. They only give you a deal when you first start off. If once a month or even once every season they had a nice deal on diamonds (even better, had a pack once a month with clothes, accessories and diamonds in it) then I wouldn’t have much to complain about but because I can’t afford to spend $4.99+ per challenge I don’t get to really enjoy the game. You can borrow one item from another player in your fashion house so it does easy the burden but you can only borrow once every 24hrs. Hopefully the makers stop acting so greedy. Also voting is not fair. Lower levels don’t have as good of hair and makeup options as higher levels so when they “randomly” place a level 5 against a level 74 you can guess who is going to win. Maybe they should group it up like level 1-10 compete and then 11-20 compete and so on... Some items in my closet just show a loading circle, so I can’t use them because they never stop “loading”. The only way to fix that is uninstall and reinstall the app. Kind irritating
I’ve been playing this game for some years now. I’ll delete it and then redownload it when I get bored. I’ve recently started to really get into it and I realized why I end up not playing after a few challenges. The game is fun. I love styling outfits for my model to wear. Makes me feel like I’m a designer or something ha. What I don’t like is that the game is really expensive. I find myself, after entering about two challenges, with technically no in-game money. I’m a low level so I end up having to buy all the required stuff as well as buying new stuff to go with the stuff I just bought so in the end, I end up being stuck. I can’t enter challenges cuz I can’t afford the required items but I can’t afford the required items because I can’t complete challenges. It’s a catch 22. Keeping ticket currency is easy, it’s the in-game money and diamonds that’s hard to keep. Then the app expects you to buy diamonds and currency for real money. The lowest package is 1.99 for 600 diamonds which will probably get you 1-3 clothing items depending on how expensive they are. So to conclude, the reason I always stop playing this game is cuz I’m stuck in limbo between not being able to complete challenges due to not having enough currency to buy clothing and not being able to receive currency from winning challenges I can’t compete in. And I refuse to real money for this game. So yeah 🤷🏾♀️. I’m deleting right now..
