For those who don't know, the "inversion" describes the lowest note (aka the bass note) in the chord. For C Maj (C, E, G) – Root Position has a "C" in the bass, 1st Inversion has an "E" in the bass, and 2nd Inversion has a "G" in the bass.<br><br>Allow String Skips<br>- Some chord voicings (like Drop 3, Drop 2 and 4) involve playing a string, then skipping a string, then playing another string. We call this a "string skip". You can allow up to 2 string skips, 1 string skip, or "none" to show only chord shapes that don't involve skipping strings.<br><br>---<br><br>Chord Types include:<br><br>Triads<br>• Maj<br>• Min<br>• Dim<br>• Aug<br>• Sus2<br>• Sus4<br><br>7th Chords<br>• 7<br>• Maj7<br>• Min7<br>• Min7(b5)<br>• Min6<br>• Maj6<br>• Maj7(b5)<br>• Maj7(sharp5)<br>• Maj7(sus2)<br>• Maj7(sus4)<br>• 7(b5)<br>• 7(sharp5)<br>• 7(sus2)<br>• 7(sus4)<br>• Min7(sharp5)<br>• Min(Maj7)<br>• Dim7<br><br>---<br><br>Upgrade to get 9th, 11th, 13th Chords**:<br><br>9th Chords<br>• 9<br>• Maj9<br>• Min9<br>• 6/9<br>• Min6/9<br>• (add9)<br>• Min(add9)<br>• (b9)<br>• (sharp9)<br>• Min(add9)b5<br>• Min(Maj9)<br>• 9(sus4)<br>• Maj9(sus4)<br><br>11th Chords<br>• 11<br>• Maj11<br>• Min11<br>• Min(add11)<br>• Maj7(sharp11)<br>• 7(sharp11)<br>• 11(sus2)<br>• Maj11(sus2)<br>• Maj7(sus2/sharp11)<br>• 7(sus2/sharp11)<br><br>13th Chords<br>• 13<br>• Maj13<br>• Min13<br>• 7(b13)<br>• 13(sus2)<br>• 13(sus4)<br>• Maj13(sus2)<br>• Maj13(sus4)<br><br>---<br><br>* Requires in-app purchase Unlock All 22 Frets<br>** Requires in-app purchase 9th, 11th, 13th Chords<br>*** Requires in-app purchase Guitar Sound Pack

This is awesome. Shows the different inversions of chords. One drawback is that it does not show the fingering for chords, but it is relatively easy to figure out the fingering. Getting the additional feature of seeing extensions is pretty costly, it with any good software, there is a price associated with quality. Everything considered, it is worth it and if the cost of buying the extensions is too much, a google search should produce the same results.
Super helpful and really beautiful app! Who knew there were so many ways to play a C chord?
This app is a complete and total rip off. It charges you 10 bucks to "unlock" 9th chords etc..Ok, overpriced but OK. THEN After that, you try to move the chord up the neck and I don't know that's another $7.99 to "unlock the neck." this is absolute highway robbery. Absolutely ridiculous no reason to do it whatsoever. Just stay away from this ripoff!!
This is by far the best guitarist’s chord dictionary out there. It’s so comprehensive that’s it’s truly mind boggling. It is the ideal companion for everyone, beginner to seasoned master. Congrats!
Helped me learn the guitar after years of struggling. Owe it all to this app 🙌🏽
