User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I love what this app is trying to do. Linking to the Boditrax monitors in my local David Lloyd is great, as it allows you to see your progress wherever you are. The issue is support. The app hasn’t been updated in forever, not even supporting the iPhone X screen size. That means it’s also really buggy. It often won’t refresh with the latest data, which is sometime sorted by closing the app and re-opening, but on a few occasions I have had to go as far as deleting the app all together and re-installing to get it to sync. It also sometimes opens with a blank screen, so you can’t actually see any data at all. When it does open, you have to prompt a sync manually. It never does this automatically when it opens, so you see the data from the previous sync, which seems an odd design decision. Finally, when scrolling between the progress charts, it often ends up displaying the wrong text with the graph shown, so for example, you are looking at the BMI data chart, but the text suggests this is weight, etc. I appreciate David Lloyd will have outsourced this to a developer, but for an organisation the size of David Lloyd, that pushes the Boditrax functionality so much in its gyms, I expect more. Sort it out!
Brings all your stats into a neat little app so you don't have to constantly login online, so great for mobile use when you aren't at a laptop or PC. A year later, won't seem to update with my latest few readings. Disappointed there hasn't really been any major update with the UI. In response to the developer ; yes I am on iOS 10.3.3 and have the latest version of the app. The track feature shows my last reading in June, however I have scans from August and September.
For someone really keen on fitness and finding this app very useful to give me details about my body. I'm very disappointed in the app and how frustrating it is to use. I previously attended a virgin gym, after finding them overpriced and of poor quality I decided to move to puregym. Both these gyms use the boditrax machines. When I first downloaded the boditrax app and used the puregym machine I thought, great! All my stats have moved over....it then dawned on me that the info being displayed was ONLY from virgin and nothing from puregym has updated, yet logging in on the site gives me accurate Info. I have tried contacting for support and been met with radio silence. What a shame, this could be a great app and very valuable if it were given the support it sorely needs. But for now since it doesn't actually give me decent, easy access to my stats (which is what I'm sure it was intended for) it will have to be 1 star. Bumped straight upto 5 if my question is answered and greater functionality provided!
It has everything I get from the machine in the gym, I’m able to view my results privately on my phone, rather than on the screen at the gym. Only annoyance is the goal tracking, it doesn’t seem to track your goals correctly for all categories. For example, I set my body fat percentage goal to 15%, and I’m currently at 18%, it says I’ve reached my goal, but I want a lower percentage not higher! Similar problems with Weight, metabolic age etc.
This is a perfectly good stand-alone app - neat and tidy, good information, seamlessly updates from the stations, etc. However, I find it bemusing that it STILL does not interact with other apps - in particular (or at the very least!!) Apple Health. I have seen this point raised on here and online many, many, many times, and still there is no - to my knowledge - firm plans to update with this basic feature. Please, BodyTrax people, tell us the secret - do you know something nobody else does?!?
