What is BlastSim?<br><br>BlastSim is a free app for calculation of area affected by nuclear explosion based on formulae researched by Nuclear Explosion Archive. The software is intended for users who wish to know more about devastating effect of Nuclear explosion and maybe useful for evacuation planning. This app makes it easy to calculate affected area for just a few taps.<br><br>This app can be use to experiment with range of thermal radiation, radius of radio active fallout and possible number of casualties. It includes list of popular weapons in human history, such as Little boy, Fat man and Tsar Bomba. <br><br>It is also possible to input custom yield of the weapon (in kilotons)<br><br>List of formulae/reference papers used are on our website. Which can be access from the menu section in the app.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I couldn’t get the online nuke map so this was the best app I found. Can’t add in other factors such as wind or whether the blast occurs in the sky or ground. But other than that I really like it. Not a huge selection of different nukes but contains the most relevant and interesting ones from if not all most countries who design nukes.
I like using this app. It’s kind of fun to see how the future could play out. The only issue with the app is that it doesn’t take in effect the radiation. Most of the bombs would cause a lot of radiation. This leads to a not accurate population loss. An update with this feature would be nice!
I love this app. It’s really fun and amazing but there are a few bugs and problems I have with this app. First of all, when you try to press the folded map button on the bottom of the screen with Castle Bravo. The app crashes. Second, you can’t target a location. When you go to search it just doesn’t work. There should be a “Target” button so when you search a location you can actually target it. The search feature is also very buggy. TL;DR: Read the review. It’s very short!
This app is very interesting. It’s fun to see what effects a nuclear weapon might have on a city. Just one problem: All of the bombs are measured in Kilotons. This means that weapons like the Tsar Bomba are only 50,000 kilotons (In real life, it 50,000 Megatons, not kilotons). Still though, a very good app!
Ok like I love this game because I get to NUKE stuff and I REALLY like nukes(no offense I like destruction) but there is a thing in it that it kicks you out of the at RANDOM PLACES and DOES NOT tell you AAAANYTHING before, I saw another review like this, and it’s true. Anyway this game is AWESOME and I LOVE it and thank you for making it🙂🙂🙂🙂YAAAY
