Our 4 year old has been using a tablet for the past 2 years. This is the first time she has really been actively engaged by any kind of app and we are loving watching her learn and have so much fun at the same time. She loves the story and the interactive nature of the narrative keeps her interested. The "Parental Guide" really helped us to work within the teaching strategy while we help her along in her journey. It's a great way for us to have fun as a family while teaching her reading, good sportsmanship, and other important lessons brought up through the creative and fun storyline.
This is one sensational app! I can’t imagine the thought and work that was put into it. Most reading apps I’ve purchased take a very short time to get through and I don’t see much learning going on. My son loves the graphics and characters in Adventure Readers and he’s quickly learning to put sounds together to make words, something he struggled with in the past. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants their child to have a successful beginning with reading. Good job Adventure Readers!
I was told by a friend that I simply must check out Adventure Readers for my two grandchildren, and I’m so glad I did! Finally, a reading app for kids that addresses sounds versus letter names. Having taught little ones for more than 30 years, I know that we use only sounds, not letters, to read. My grandkids think it’s just a really fun reading game but I know the foundation is being laid for a positive, happy learning-to-read experience that will serve them well all their lives. Great job, Adventure Readers!
What a super reading app for kids! It not only teaches reading well, but also conveys the idea that reading is fun. The game keeps kids motivated to learn to read, plus there is enough creativity to intrigue an adult sitting at the child’s side. I was impressed by the quality of the animation and sound, as well as the values of friendship, education and love of reading expressed in the plot. I strongly recommend this to other parents whose kids are ready to learn to read.
My 4 year old, very active (did I say very!!!) Grandson LOVES this program. The colors, the activity, the positive reinforcement. We are spending quality time together, all while satisfying his inquisitive mind, settling him down with focus and fun. I am not a person who usually reviews items, but I am so impressed by this one, I just had to share. I highly recommend this fabulous program.

LEARNING TO READ
Using our exciting 70-page adventure story, we take young readers
through an innovative learning pedagogy that is custom-tailored to build reading skills and foster lifelong reading habits. Adventure Readers and the Quest for the Magic Moonstone is a thrilling tale of two young siblings who join their companion, a rambunctious monkey in a space suit, on a quest across the galaxy to save the universe by learning how to read!
We journey across seven fantastic planets teaching your child valuable life skills such as working together to overcome obstacles, greeting new challenges with excitement, and making new friends.
Whether your child is learning on iPad or iPhone, Adventure Reader provides a fun and engaging way to learn how to read. Children are rewarded for completing each learning activity with the next pages of the story, and can pick up the intergalactic narrative at any time.
The adventure is presented as a “motion comic,” meaning that individual comic panels come to life and the characters interact with your child thanks to the work of an extraordinary cast of voice-over performers, set against the backdrop of a fully orchestrated musical score recorded by live symphony musicians.

THE BEST READING GAME FOR KIDS
It previously took many months to teach your child to read or bring him/her up to grade level. With Adventure Readers, it now takes just a few hours! The results of our method are immediate, and so are the changes to your child’s self-esteem.
Words are made up of sounds, not letter names. Mixing these two before a child has learned to read can be overwhelming. Our system only uses the sound that represents the letter, allowing your child to “decode” the English language. This is one of the key ways our approach differs from other reading apps.
Our app’s curriculum was carefully created by Leslie Poznanter to teach children how to read. First your child will learn sounds, then basic reading skills, before learning more letters and sound combinations.
Our creative team has worked to make a flexible game that accommodates the needs of younger children, while also being suitable for older children. Whether you are looking for a fun way to teach reading or a way to get your child back at grade level, we have the solution!
Our app was carefully designed to guide your child through the entire adventure of reading without the need for parental assistance. However, if you would like to participate, here are some ways to enrich your child’s experience:
• Allow your child to make mistakes. Our program has built-in help to direct her to the correct answer.
• Use only letter sounds (e.g., the sound “k,” instead of “kay,” for the letter “k”) and not letter names when playing the game.
• If the app asks your child to say something and he doesn’t, encourage him to be vocal.
