The app has gotten worse since they went to the App Store version of the app, especially with iOS 13. It continually looses connection when driving in a straight line and constantly reminds you to stay on the current route. The maps are outdated and slow and half the time it doesn’t take into account traffic conditions. There needs to be an option to choose reverse option for the delivery route. It always does closes first, farthest last. Most days I want the complete opposite and it is a pain to individually choose the next delivery each time. Also the camera function needs work, especially low light with the glass, takes way to long. Overall the app uses way too much battery power. I will go through 70% of my battery delivering for 1 - 1 1/2 hour and then I can drive home using my maps app, stream music and call home and only use 10% battery the whole way. Lastly is an issue with only iPhones X, Xs, XR and so on. When I first login the screen asking about being available right away, the X to close the screen is behind the battery/signal icon in the top bar and it tables more then 5 taps to close. Oh and I almost forgot with this new so, I have to re login in almost every time, it constantly signs me out. Sorry for the long review but I have to be honest with my frustration.
First, the GPS is horrible. I end up putting every address into google maps because the GPS on this app is awful. Second, the screen goes black and then I have to log out and log back in to try and deliver the package. It happened many times delivering the other day. Third, why do I have to log in almost every single time when I’m using the app consistently?? And last, the organization of packages within the app is okay but could be better. Example, I have an address on a street and saw another one with the same street (lower number) and thought maybe they were in different places since it wasn’t telling me to deliver them at the same time.. nope. Same street and had to come back to it! I hope they’re trying to work on all these kinks in the system because the flex program is great but when the app isn’t up to par, it makes it hard to do the job.
Thanks for the new updates rolling out! I love that it’s no longer draining my battery at record rates!! I fortunately the app shuts down now just after taking a picture of the delivered package. I have to open the app back up, wait for it to load the splashscreen, go back to the last delivery, hit travel to again, hit I’ve arrived again, acknowledge I’m at the correct delivery location, scan the package, place it back at the door/wherever, take another picture, and hope it doesn’t close out again. I’m doing all this while standing on a stranger’s doorstep and looking suspect as hell. If I’m lucky, it’s not a locked apartment where I’ve already placed the package and left out of the door. If that happens, I have to go through the process of getting back inside the building in order to rescan. Yes I could call support, but I’d like to cya with the photo proof of delivery instead. Please fix that bug! Otherwise great updates. Can’t wait for the filter to come my way! Thanks!
I dropped off two packages yesterday. Scanned both of them. Handed one to the customer and dropped the other on the front porch for the other customer(took the picture). I have a block right now and it shows that I attempted to deliver the two packages yesterday. I called support and they said the packages show as missing. How is the app saying it comes up as missing or attempted when I scanned them both and to my convenience they were the last two then my shift ended so it was easy to remember that, the app asked me the questions it always asks after you finish your block. So I call support just now and they can’t even call the customer to confirm that they received their packages? Now I gotta wait for that automated email to tell me I did something wrong and that’s final on their end. P.s it said I picked the two packages up at 5:13pm at the station(milford,MA) and attempted to drop them off at 5:13pm (warren,RI) lol. So I drove an hour away from the station and dropped two packages off, all that in less than a minute.
Since downloading the new app, I have encountered issues with GPS constantly updating while routing. Had a situation where it made me turn and drive 5 miles away, cut thru a small town and reroute back to original highway I was on? If I would have studied the address before the turn, I would have stayed on the same road .. also the navigation isn’t updated enough to know certain Right Turns only, in the downtown area during rush hours, and not to mention where bridges are out or road construction has temporarily shut roads down in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. I have also encountered issues of the app freezing up and having to “retry” few times til I have to completely log off the app and access the app again. Almost as if I had no signal, but showing full bars . Never had near the issues with the old app as I do with the newly updated app with IPhone. Hopefully these comments help ..
