I really liked the set up for this app, simple and encourages rest between sessions but also doesn’t let you go beyond a few days before your next or it sets you back a session. Awesome. Except two days ago on my run I wanted to restart a minute or two in because I had started the program but wasn’t ready... it told me better luck next time and set me back a session! Then today, I had to run on the treadmill, which I don’t normally do and it gave me the cues for about 20 min - then when I looked at it I realized it thought I had run 0 miles and I cannot find a way to manually change this. Told me better luck next time at the end of this run as well! I’m never going to get anywhere at this rate!
So I thought I could learn to run, listen to music, and be told when to change my pace all at the same time..... unless I am looking at my watch or phone, I receive no notifications when to switch from walking to running to walking. Why? Is this not possible? I want to put my phone in my pocket and not keep glancing at my watch.... help?
The first set’s pacing and intervals conveyed an understanding of physical challenges to those moving “from couch to 5k”. There was a good mix of walking and running to rest then challenge. The very next set however started well but then became solely running. I don’t know if having a music app also active caused interference with the running app but if it did that is a problem. All i know is I can’t depend on this app to create reasonable pacing as I build up my strength and stamina.
I’ve emailed the app twice with no response. I’ve completed the program and wanted to start over and I cannot use the app anymore. It doesn’t allow you to repeat workouts. I actually like not being able to go forward until the required rest period is over. However I missed a lot of days and wanted to go back to the easier workouts and can’t. Basically when you reach 2 miles it’s just a run there is no interval walk run. Very disappointed
It was working well until I reached around the 1.4 mile challenge - now it wants me to wait 66 hours until I can do the next challenge! I was enjoying the integrated intervals, very helpful vs looking at my phone to time it myself. I don’t like how you either wait until time has elapsed to do the next run challenge or pay $4 for the app upgrade.
