AppFollow 2.9: July Edition
TL;DR: tracking featuring updates, App Store top charts, improved Slack integrations for reviews, Microsoft Teams and Workplace by Facebook support as well as keyword comments support.

1. Tracking featuring updates

Now all our premium users can monitor if any app from their collections were featured in editor’s collections in the App Store or Google Play in different countries.

If you activate this option, your apps will have a new section — Featured— where you can find updates about featuring on Home Page or in Categories.

We’ll also notify you about featuring in App Updates email reports and, of course, in Slack if you set up appropriate integration.

We have a special compact notification format for apps and games that are featured in many countries.

At the moment we update featuring once a week. We are actively preparing for iOS 11 launch and then for sure will start tracking Today section on a daily basis.

2. Top Charts

We learnt from our clients there is a frequent need to check which apps are currently ranked in top charts, both in Overall and in Categories. Most often this request comes from marketing managers since this information helps them to estimate current market situation and make decisions whether it’s time to launch campaign or pause it.

That’s why we decided to add our own top charts section. Right now we support only App Store (iPhone & iPad) with all the categories in most popular countries. Charts are available both on our web-site and in ASO Tools part of your AppFollow account.

3. Multiple Slack integrations for reviews

We finally made it possible to set up separate Slack-notifications for negative & positive reviews.

Two integrations for one app reviews

Besides, now after you set up Slack integration for reviews, we automatically switch on instant reviews notifications and daily summary reports.

Real time reviews and summary report

So, now you can set up any number of integrations for any app in your collection with options that suite you most, no matter if it’s for your own app or a competitor’s one.

NB! Please, review integrations that were previously set up in your AppFollow account.

4. Microsoft Teams and Workplace by Facebook Integration

We expanded our set of integrations by adding Microsoft Teams and Workplace by Facebook support. Thus, in case you use one of these tools, you can now monitor reviews with AppFollow.

More details on how to set up these integrations in our help center: Microsoft Teams and Facebook Workplace.

5. Embed for reviews

To sum up reviews topic in this release, we added the opportunity to embed reviews on a web-site or blog.

Here you can find embed code for a needed reviews

There is also a link to “embed” on public review page.

6. Adding comments to keywords

For some time already we’ve been asked to add keywords comments as they can help a lot when working with hieroglyphs or ligatures as you can easily add a translation. The notes can also remind why you chose this particular keyword. So now it’s very easy to leave a note — just click on the ? symbol and write a comment.

We want to say our special THANK YOU to Maxim from Wachanga —he is the one who insisted on releasing this feature right now. To be honest, we were postponing it for a while.

7. Cool, stylish, fast

Last but not least update. This June we finished our transition to new data collection algorithms. You don’t need to wait any more as now reviews and keywords data is available almost in real time right after you added an app to your collection. We’ve been working hard on this update since the beginning of the year and we’re very happy that now all of you can work with app reviews and keywords without any delays ?

One more thing…

We recently launched Zendesk app available in their market place: https://www.zendesk.com/apps/appfollow/

Very soon we will open the opportunity to reply to reviews directly from Zendesk with no need to go to AppFollow. Same way as you manage tickets now. For the end user (agent) all new reviews will be shown as new tickets, and developers replies will be added to the same thread.

All chat history with your users will be in Zendesk: app review-developer’s reply-review update-new developer’s reply, etc.

If you’d like to be among the first ones to test this feature, drop us a line on help@appfollow.io.
