Update: VeinSeek 2 is here! VeinSeek for Android is Android's answer to the popular iOS app, VeinSeek Pro. VeinSeek takes advantage of multispectral imaging principles and the intrinsic optical properties of skin to produce enhanced images of veins; it does so by boosting oxyhemoglobin/deoxyhemoglobin absorption contrast and reducing the contribution of superficially-scattered and specularly-reflected light to the overall image. VeinSeek for Android is incredibly simple. Your smartphone's flash will be activated on opening the app. Point your phone at the site you want to image. You can adjust the depth of the effect using the slider bar. You can also turn the effect on and off using the switch at the top of the screen. That's it! Happy vein-finding! FAQ: --I'm not happy with the performance of the app/the app doesn't work on my particular phone type. Can I get a refund?-- Of course! Many Android phone types may not be supported either due to software or hardware issues. Refunds requested within two hours of download through the Google Play store are granted automatically per Google Policy. If for some reason you are having trouble with getting a refund at any time, just email firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and approximate time of purchase, and we will get you a refund ASAP. --Does this app work in all skin types?-- Yes! The effect will be most dramatic in moderately-pigmented skin. However, it works in all skin types. For very dark skin tones, you will need a phone with a bright flash. --Does this app work for arteries?-- No. VeinSeek Android only works for veins. --How deep can the app see?-- Depending on skin tone, VeinSeek Android detects veins up to several mm deep. --My phone's flash is broken/My phone doesn't have a flash. Should I still download VeinSeek?-- No. --My question isn't among those listed here. How can I get it answered?-- Just email email@example.com and someone will get back to you as soon as possible!
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
I work in harm reduction and i am a recovering addict. I wish this app was around years ago when i was using. Ive tested It out on myself and can see the veins quite well depending how far away im holding my phone. I didnt believe this app would work but it does. I have tested It on some of the clients i deal with as an outreach worker. Will continue to recommend to everyone that could benefit from it. I only wish there was a way to provide it for free or at a reduced price for those in need
Horrible. I mean all it did was really go black and white and make the surface veins appear more darker but it was if it was holligraphic so you turn the phone and the vein wouldmove or the image change. I would like to request a refund please tell me how. Thanks. I cant say it doesnt work but I can say on the LG Tribute Dynasty the app doesn't do much of what is says. Maybe on the surface but not obvious. Refund? Soon? Thanks.
It doesn't work, I tested it on my hands and it just made them look shiny. My skin is VERY white, I can see some veins easily but this app had trouble even seeing those ones! So pointless
Not as great as I would have thought it to be. I was hoping this might work on really difficult IV sticks. I'm pretty good I was just hoping this might help in people who are the type to be stuck a few times because they are difficult IV sticks.
Samsung G S7, it only shows veins that I can already see. I wonder if camera lens filters are reason for this. Samsung has a glass lens cover, but it can see IR from a remote control device.
