USB Media Explorer (UME), formerly known as Nexus Media Importer, allows you view photos (Jpeg and Raw), stream videos1, listen to music, and view documents from USB storage devices and cameras. Specialized screens for photos, videos, music, documents and file management. Copy files to and from the USB device. View full size photos and videos without importing! Supported Devices: - Flash/Pen Drives - Card Readers - Hard Drives2 - Cameras3 - Other Android devices4 - MTP/UMS audio players5 - Some DVD drives6 Additional Hardware Requirements: - Connecting most devices will require a microUSB OTG cable or USB C to USB adapter. These are available from most major retail websites. Notes: 1. Video and audio formats not natively supported by Android (AVI, Dolby, DTS, WMV) may require a third party player like VLC. 2. Hard drives require considerable power and may require an external power source, like a powered USB hub. 3. Only cameras with storage are supported. Live image devices like endoscopes and webcams are not supported. 4. To access another Android device, put the target device in MTP/File Transfer Mode. 5. Most “i” devices use a proprietary protocol. These are NOT supported. 6. Only DVD drives that support AV Connect mode or similar are supported. See your DVD drive manual. Commercial DVDs are not supported. Support: - If you have an issue, you can tap "Homesoft" from the About screen for email support. I read and reply to reviews, but due to their one way nature, it’s difficult to resolve issues. If you have a support request, please include the Android device you are using, the USB device you are trying to use and a description of the problem.
User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
This is the only app that works with google pixel c with typc sc card reader to transfer cannon raw files from the 5DMK4, its also amazing tha I can see the CR2 files preview and also the Video files preview we still need to insall a MOV file format player but as file transfer and file reader this work perfectly. you need to dissconnect and reconnec the type c card reader to see the new file. re inserting the card will not update the files in the sd card
Note8 I paid. Freezes up after viewing two photos. Buttons lock up and I've got to close everything. Won't let me watch videos from usb sd card, says something about not having some sort of "codex" for videos. (Edit) I'll try your suggestion and update review. Its awesome you responded, ty.
Bought this to try and watch videos off my external Hard Drive on my Samsung Galaxy S9. Only app that seems to detect the hard drive and view its contents which is good, but unfortunately none of the actual videos are showing up. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? The video formats vary from Mp4, mkv, and avi, yet none appear.
I've had this app for a couple years. All of a sudden it was gone off my phone. After paying for it again(which I dont think I should is had to) theres no way to delete the photos I dont want. I think you really need to get this fixed
Great app. Have been using it for many years and it keeps improving. Highly recommend!
