Great content! The app could use some more finesse. Top of the list for me: I want to see better, persistent navigation options. I get a few levels deep into the app and see no button for navigating to the home feed. Hitting the Android back button sometimes takes me to the previous section of the app I was in, but often closes the app on me to. This is rather annoying and sometimes just makes me put The Athletic aside. You can't rely on the Android back button so the app needs to provide better navigation options.

Excellent content. As far as the app goes, it can be frustrating when I receive multiple notifications and tapping them just takes you to the app and not to any of the stories. It's then hard to find those specific stories without searching and only if you remember the title of the article. It's not necessarily at the top of the content feed.

Not enough content to warrant the fee. If you follow a particular club, expect to wait days and days for content to drop. You might get one journo follow your club who drops something to read every 4 or 5 days.

Love the content, but there several performance issues with the app. If I link from twitter or somewhere outside the app, it links to the app, but not to the article. The podcast player is a mess. All too often the podcast I want won't download, or it will appear to download when it actually hasn't. Would be great to have a playlist feature as well for long car rides and to keep track of episodes you want to listen to.

Everything is good except, Straight from the Source podcast is bugged. I listened to my first podcast, and now the others wont play. I will even close out the app and still have the notification that i am playing a podcast, no way of hiding it, as it will pop up next tine i lock and unlock my phone. Kind of annoying!
