Fun game! But i have questions... Do every session need to be in one sitting? I dont quite understand the idea of the game, it feels like everytime i start a new session i start from scratch. All my upgrades etc gets lost when i die and i have to die at some point since i eventually need to put my phone down. I might miss something though... It feels like a game from before the invention of saves. This is what gives it three stars instead of five. You are stuck on stage 1. I might be wrong.
I was plesantly surprised by this game. On the surface it appears to be roguelite / card style game, however I was really taken by the level of strategy in designing your deck. Excellent art style. It's one of those 'just one more turn' games...which I will go back to now for just a few more turns.
This is a very good game, and the only real equivalent of slay the spire on mobile. And to be clear, it is a slay the spire clone. However, it explores several unique ideas, and holds up next to that game. It has microtransactions, obviously, but the only necessary one is the admiral character, which is somewhat annoying, but either way. So then, you can think of the complete game as 6 bucks rather than 1-2. It takes more than 80 hours to complete the game(finish each zone).
Great but the slog to get repute to open anything is a nightmare. Let me buy it or something! You get enough coins to play the next adventure then realise you gotta get more repute. And seeing if you cant get the first boss until you understand the game after a few hours, it means you are stuck getting about 8 repute. Which means you have to play the first map 62.5 times yo even open arena. Fat chance at opening another adventure.
It's fun, but it gets grind-core real quick. Don't think that just because you paid for it, there won't be microtransactions. You cannot save the card you unlock in a deck, but are forced to regain cards every game RANDOMLY. Annoying is a word for it, I can think of others...
