I have the base app and it works perfectly for helping me track my calories and stay on track. I'm down 12 pounds in three weeks while allowing myself a weekly cheat day. I love the bar code scanning feature and the ability to lookup food from popular restaurants. I have one gripe... I added an exercise (weightlifting) from the list of exercises and now when try to add another exercise my only option is is weightlifting, I can't get back to the full list (no option to remove filter).

I had this app two years ago and it seemed easier to do stuff on than now. I can't search for challenges because when I got search it doesn't work, the foods I look up have many different calories for the same food and servings. And it's even more push-y to have me upgrade to premium. I get having ads, but when the "ads" are just the app promoting it's paid portion it gets irritating. Also, please fix the search for challenges. I want to do more than just basic logging challenges and can't.

Hi, just a couple of comments. Why do you send lifetime upgrade ads to people who have just paid to subscribe for a year? Remind me closer to the time my Premium subscription expires and I might consider it, but not immediately after I've just paid! Secondly, I think it would really help if there was more guidance on specific dietary requirements. I'm vegetarian and the veggie recipes were hard to track down. What about diabetic, halal, etc?

I have used both MFP and Lose It and prefer Lose It because I think it has a better interface, is easier to log, and has nice motivating features like logging and graphing your own data like blood pressure, body fat %, and other custom things you can enter yourself. MFP feels like a singles hangout sometimes. Lose It does not.

I'm an idiot! I've avoided these trackers because they were such a pain to use in the past. Seriously, if my last a** can use this every day, you can. It has tons of pre-stored items, it saves meals and entries you make for quick reuse later without a big search. But honestly, the search feature is stupid easy to use. The barcode scanner has found every item I've scanned so far, making this app even that much more awesome for me. I paid for the premium almost right away because I liked it!
