HrvDataLogger is an app for research purposes and quantified-self and health enthusiasts. It logs heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) parameters and has a minimalistic breathing exercise to calm down during the day. The app needs a BLE chest band like the Polar H7 or Zephyr HxM Smart to work. It connects to the band via Bluetooth Smart (BLE), and displays a status bar notification while recording data. The idea is to wear the band for a time during the whole day (or also night) for a period of about two weeks, which gives a snapshot into your heart's condition. Wearing it longer is usually not practical, since chest bands become uncomfortable while in all-day use. Another possibility: you can also use the app to take "daily meaurements" which are 2 and half minute measurements any time (normally you take them in the morning, see literature on subject "HRV morning readings"), this can be done for any duration. You can also inspect long-term and live short-term HRV parameters in the app. Live parameters provide insights into your current heart state (averaged/calculated from the last half minute) and can change quite quickly. The app logs HR and HRV to an SQl database file on your phone. You can grab that file (while the app is not recording) and do whatever data analysis you want. HRV parameters include RMSSD, SDNN, PNN50 and spectral parameters LF/HF, total spectral power and coherence. No need for login/registration, and also there are NO ADS in app. HrvDataLogger is a developing product. The app should work with all standard BLE chest bands which measure heart rate, but NOT wrist band and smart watches like FitBit, Xiaomi MiBand etc (technology to measure HRV from these bands does not exist yet). Also be aware that there might be Bluetooth connection issues. For more information, contact info and the explanation of parameters see the developer's page at Possible future features: - csv export - guided, slow-down breathing - labeling - notification for high stress
