I actually enjoy the game most of the time. However, this latest update appears to have completely washed out my account, and is now forcing me to create a new account. If all that data is lost, I am not starting this all over again. Tried emailing using the above-listed support email, only to get a "this is a no-reply email" response. The response also said that to get support, use the in-app support... which I can't do because my account is gone. Nice.
I've put serious time into this game, played all hours of the day, used all facets (portkeyes, challenges, duels, dark detectors, greenhouses, etc) but the biggest problem is I keep running into the same things over and over instead of what I need. I've also found that the game's teaching mechanisms are too slow and often are triggered way way way after I needed them. I mean months after I needed them. I mostly gave up after I didn't see a single dragon spawn on the day of the dragons.
First thing: I've never seen a more obvious and disgusting money grabbing game in my life. Spell energy should naturally restore. The trace system and inconsistent catch rates are frustrating and unnecessary. More content to play at home would help this game (if that's possible now). It's really nothing more than an attempt by Niantic to get you to spend as much cash as possible by severely limiting storage for items necessary to play. Sickening.
Plays very similarly to PoGo. In place of poke-balls you have energy, and in place of berries you have potions. I enjoy the challenge towers and the profession mechanic unlocked at level 10. Daily tasks keep me playing everyday, as well as the fact that I just really enjoy the Harry Potter aesthetic. There is the occasional bug or two that can cause the game to crash, but that's to be expected. Will continue playing for some time.
The reasons this game was given three stars are because there needs to be a variety of different looking characters in all categories. This is not like Pokemon Go where all the animals look alike, these are people with different characteristics. We also should be able to take pictures of everything in our registry. If you can design it in Pokemon Go it should apply here. Lastly our witch figure on the map should be an avatar that we can personalize. Does anyone agree?

Realize Your Wizarding Potential
A calamity has befallen the wizarding world, causing Foundables—magical artefacts, creatures, people, and even memories—to mysteriously appear in the Muggle world. As a new recruit of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, you’ll work with witches and wizards from across the globe to solve the mystery of The Calamity and keep magic safe from Muggle eyes.
The Magic Is All Around You
As you step outside and explore the world, the Map will reveal Traces of magic that indicate the location of Foundables. These Traces are found at various real-world locations and trigger richly detailed 3D encounters in full 360-degree advanced AR. You’ll need to cast a variety of spells to defeat the confounding magic surrounding the Foundables in order to safely return them to the wizarding world. Keep an eye out for other things that will aid you on your journey including Inns that replenish Spell Energy, ingredients that can be used to brew potions, and even Portkeys that can whisk you away to iconic wizarding world locations.
Gather your friends to take on even bigger magical feats such as Wizarding Challenges, real-time cooperative multiplayer battles against dangerous foes. To overcome the stronger threats and discover rarer Foundables, you’ll need to team up and strategize with your fellow witches and wizards and specialize in different magical Professions—Auror, Magizoologist, and Professor—that each have their own unique skills and abilities that come in handy at different times.
Ready your wand, alert your friends, and be ready to protect the wizarding world from a global calamity. Your Wizarding adventure awaits!
