User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Edit: Evidently the issue I had it has been updated. It no longer seems to ask me to rate the game. I have changed the rating back to my original 5/5. A great game to play for short or long sessions. I loved and still prefer the original pizzle quest, but this is great for what it is. Weekly updates and a sense of resource generation progression makes the short sessions every day really feel meaningful. It mediates the feeling of bad RNG at the very least.
I originally rated this game at 5 stars, but dropped it to three because it constantly nags me to rate it long after I put in my initial rating. Now I have dropped it to one star. Now I can't even cancel out of the nag screen. If I hit the 'x' or anywhere else on the screen it takes me out of the game and to this rating page. I reinstalled the game as suggested by the developers, but it didn't fix either bug. Hopefully, this review will get them to fix this more annoying bug.
Pluses: decent combat system, lack of time gates (kind of a big deal for me). Minus: most hilariously bad rng I have ever seen. I think they forgot about the "random" part. Some levels it's like playing roulette in a shady casino. It's far too consistent to be be just "bad luck". Can be extremely frustrating sometimes
Just as a warning up front, this game is the most addicting game I've ever played, and I've been a gamer for about 25 years. I love the combination of match-3 and RPG. you can make progress without having to pay out any money if you want. there are no limits on how much you can play each day. I'll admit i don't care for the story, which makes you do questionable things, not heroic imo. But the gameplay is unsurpassed. Lots of viable troops, tons of fun to build teams
Looks like they fixed the spammed review requests bug or whatever so I'm fixing my review. I think it's a great game. My one complaint is the recent patch. Drop rates were altered for gnomes, when you do get them they drop substantially worse treasure (guild posts screen shots to chat app and the quality has indeed gone down across the board). Deeds are pointless tar pits and hardly show up on the adventure board. Earlier mythics need a rework. Overall though, still a really fun game.
