Forge of Empires: Build a City

Fun game to play to kill time. I can get lost in it sometimes. I have only two peices of input that I feel would make the game better, why not make it so players can turn properties to fit the area they want to put them rather than them be locked in the position they are in? I cant seem to rember the other idea i had at this time. I realize your looking to make money ,but poor folk like myself cant buy diamond paks lol. ( Diamonds need to be made more available for players to win or find).

Love this game, great for something to simply poke around with/at while waiting or board. Also it's a really slow build game if you don't like that then you may not like this game. If you have extra money to burn you'll love this game. I have been on and off with this game for years and never paid a cent so I'm only as far as I am because of patience.

It is an alright game. Just a bit annoyed at the fact that you have all that space and you can't use it unless you buy the spaces. Additionally, you have all these trees and rocks that are wasted which could have been used as supplies. Also, you can't use areas you've conquered on the map which is a real waste of time. Moreover, the cultural occupation you have access to can't build stuffs on rocks which again, is such a waste of space and resources.

Diamonds I'm at the second stage of this, iron age. To go from one era to the next costs diamonds. Example, I can make trails and paths with dirt, but to use the other option costs diamonds. There's not enough expansions to extend your village unless you use diamonds. Its 200 diamonds for the first era and jumps to 400 after that. You also have to unlock the option for diamond expansion, they are limited. Can't turn the building's to face a certain way towards the road making them inaccessible.

Beautiful game to play, not to win, and you dont want to be in a hurry, but it is great as a slow burner, think years rather than months, just to build a city and watch it grow, find a guild and have some banter. These aspects i love, the city building and the helpful in game communities. Not so fussed on the combat and wish the developers would spend less time on this and more on beautiful and interesting buildings and interesting and exciting trade mechanisms and get some better storytellers😁
