Good at times. However, today, and I'm not sure why this is, I open the app, scan the headlines, get ready to click on a story...and, voila, the app closes all by itself. To be fair, there are other news apps that exhibit this behavior as well, and I expect this misunderstanding to be worked out whenever the next batch of updates comes along.

- No progress bar. How am I supposed to know how long I have left from the article? - The embedded comments section is slow to load. - Love the Dark mode - Some left leaning bias here and there. I would prefer if Ft would stick to it's ' independent, unbiased, factual ' reporting code. - Some articles are below Ft's standards, ex: ' Car finance: is leasing the model choice? It's rather the authors personal experience than a thorough comparison. Overall still better than other news apps I tried.

FT journalism is second to none. But over about 10 years usage I've found the app to be consistently sub-standard. For example, injection of ads has always been laggy and haphazard. Pictures load slowly even on a new tablet with 6gb of RAM. Irritatingly, the morning edition has now stopped working - the option to show it having disappeared. Why?

Now getting this app was a big thing for me. I love having a paper in front of me and taking my time reading it, best of all FT Weekend. Somehow the layout and formatting of this app makes it possible to enjoy the paper online.

It's the Financial Times. A dark mode for night reading would be a great addition. Perhaps pink type on a dark brown/blue background? Update: i just found dark mode in 'experiments'. I'm happy. Or was until i found bright pink comments.
