Google tried fixing something that wasn't broken. It's frustrating to use this calculator, because it doesn't act like a normal desktop calculator. There is no "clear" button until you press enter. The equation doesn't automatically clear after you hit enter either. This makes use of what's supposed to be a fast tool cumbersome. Installing something else that acts like a proper calculator.
I find it difficult to believe that updates are needed when the calculator was the very first computer program (app) ever made. Just saying this don't make much sense. I have used a T-11 calculator (a small dedicated device with only one "app"on it being the advanced calculator program) when I was in middle school over twenty years ago.
Does as it should but my biggest complaint is that does not follow order of operations. It only follows the math procedurally. This is, in most cases, not what we want at all. 95% of us follow the PEMDAS rule and this calculator doesn't do that unless you use the parentheses; none of us should have to use parenthesis exclusively to get the results we want.
Clear numbers and seems easy enough to use. Until you make a mistake and simply want to clear and start over. Clear is not an option unless you first choose sum. If you're dealing with a multi digit # and make an entry error you must backspace every digit and cannot just clear and start over. Seriously just let me choose clear. It's so much faster to just start over.
2nd post today, but still not changing my stars because the update is awful, HOWEVER, I uninstalled the update AND stopped auto updates (thanks to another frustrated user mentioning that). Now the fractions are gone. Just go to the app and uninstall. It will ask if you want to remove all updates and presto...the old app is back!!
