User reviews affect conversion to installs and app rating. Featured and helpful reviews are the first to be noticed by users and in case of no response can affect download rate. This is why it is highly recommended to reply to them.
Really bad at changing payment method I had a card already memorized from the first payment but I lost that and now I am trying to pay the rest of the trip. The Add Payment Method when I'm selecting the Credit or debit card just won't load completely and it's just very briefly displayed and then just disappears. Please fix this as soon as possible
Listings keep changing their price on different devices. I was looking for a weekend away, the listing said that we had the entire house to ourselves, we read the entire ad! After we had booked and a week went by we looked at it again, the description in the ad had changed to a basement apartment! The listing still said "entire house" though. We can't get our money back in full because its past 48h after we booked. Very upset, we feel that this was not our fault as we took every precaution!
I used to really enjoy Airbnb. However, now I'm finding a lot of listings in a city being hosted by the same person. I am seeing lots of comments from other visitors that say the listing they book is not where they end up staying. Instead, once they arrive they are being told that the listing they booked is full, and they are taken to a different location hosted by the same person. I've been staying in hotels in these areas, because I am concerned about this bait and switch I've read about.
Beware of hotels on Airbnb. Renting space in a private home through airbnb has been a straightforward experience. For some reason a double standard has been allowed: hotels are allowed to falsify their cost in their airbnb listings. The result is that airbnb will accept your payment for the reservation and confirm it, but the hotel will want more money when you get there. If you dont have it or cant pay you get no lodging no refund. EDIT: Abnb refunded but still list hotels falsely
I have no issues with the company itself, but I really dont enjoy using the app. Each time I've had to use forgot password the reset password email just never comes, so I've had to make additional accounts due to not being able to log into an existing one. I also find the way of getting info about an existing booking really not intuitive, I can never find how much I paid once its booked, nor can I find how to message a host for an existing booking (only call). Its just too much faff, puts me off
