Human ear organ has a complex structure and function, its crucial parts lying deep in the temporal bone. Therefore it is difficult to understand it, especially its sound frequency coding. One cannot really comprehend this without interacting with it in 3D virtual reality - made possible here in this free application. There are several fully spatially interactive scenes, explaining the transduction of the sound to vibrations in the middle ear, the distribution of vibration in the inner ear and the way of the frequency coding. Finally the vestibular system with the sense of equilibrium is explained.This project is intended for secondary schools and universities, for students to understand easier and faster and of course for teachers to use it in order to make their presentations more attractive and content richer.
